Publisher's summary

Six years ago, Jack Till helped Wendy Harper disappear. But now her ex-boyfriend and former business partner, Eric Fuller, is being framed for her presumed murder in an effort to smoke her out, and Till must find her before tango-dancing assassins Paul and Sylvie Turner do. SILENCE

I really liked this book. I purchased this as a Daily Deal but it is certainly worth a credit had it not been on sale.
There are enough reviews and the the publisher's summary so I won't restate the book's details.
Although an earlier book, Thomas Perry never disappoints with his excellent writing style. His characters are believable, likable and flawed. Even the good guys. But not flawed enough to make the reader dislike them.
Michael Kramer does an outstanding job narrating.
This book is HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.

Nice job, Kramer

I confess I really didn't have high hopes for this book, but as it got going, I found it to be an interesting story line. I didn't realize that many locations were being mispronounced (seems to be a big issue for many reviewers). For me, Michael Kramer is a fantastic narrator of suspense, so I enjoyed it. Even the ending (though sort of dark) was good.

Good story, but not as good as the Butchers Boy se

The narration was spot on. The story had it's good moments, but I would put it down for a few days, then come back to it. Never had the desire to sit and listen for a few more minutes when I'd pull into the driveway. Not too interested in Jack Till. He was just OK.

Evil-dripping characters

What I liked most about this book was the pure evilness of several of the characters. What I liked least about this book was some untied ends at its conclusion. To say more would spoil it. In general, though, this book was a good listen and should please most readers of this genre.

A bit long, but still worth a listen

What a nice surprise to have found this great detective novel, a first for me by author Thomas Perry. Narrator Michael Kramer is masterful with his various characters' voices. Perry brings to the forefront a new and exciting storyline I've not yet heard in my entire Audible library with perfectly chilling and well-deserved last words of the book! I wish the next book would continue its tale of Sylvia and Paul Turner. Kudos to talented author and narrator, as they compliment each other. Highly recommended.

Less wordiness and more action would help

Great story but I initially found it hard to follow all the characters. Overall great read. Recommended.

This book has definitely more Villains than Hero's

Even our Hero is damaged goods in this story and so is our damsel in distress even if we don't learn her shortcomings until the end of the book.

Jack Tiller helps a battered Woman disappear, just to find himself in a situation to having to find her years later. With 4 + Villains hot on their trail Jack is trying to stay one step ahead.

There is plenty of suspense and action in this book. I did not regret reading the book but it didn't make me want to read more from the series.

Good Listen

Anybody that doesn't enjoy this book needs to stop reading mystery fiction. Starts quick and keeps going. Above average twists and turns and well narrated with good voices and more plausible than many I've read. I find that male narrators do women's voices better than women do men.

Get this book and have some fun.
