Disappointing narrator

Would you recommend this book to a friend? Why or why not?

No. I thought it got bogged down in military stuff And it was boring when repetitive

What didn’t you like about Ken Kliban’s performance?

Exaggerated voice of the characters.

Do you think Separation of Power needs a follow-up book? Why or why not?

I have liked other Vince Flynn books so I will look for a different narrator

The narration is tough to listen to. The story is great as is the series.

Great Story...Terribly Narrated

Perfect addition to the Mitch Rapp saga. Unfortunately, the narrator was distracting. His odd pattern of word emphasis, e.g., President pronounced Preesiahdent, and mispronunciation of words, e.g., consummate professional pronounced "con-summit" professional, appear throughout the book and distracted from the story rather than bring it to life. Fortunately, Mr. Kilban does not read the other books in the series...guess I was not the only one to notice.

Disappointed

I love this series but, it required cliff notes, taken by me, to really follow the story. Now I have had to do this since Shot”, big time for “The Third Option” and now “Separation of Power”. I felt it was more about the background and much less than the actual story. The narrator sounded like everyone talked like nasally nasty old Rudden and much LESS the the strong and empowering Rapp AND Hayes. Their counterpart hero’s Campbell and Flood had equally weak whiny voices. I had to push through so I could get to the next book and HOPE it was much more story with matching strong voices. It’s the first time I haven’t enjoyed a Vince Flynn book and sorry to have to write ANY negatives.

Great story so so narration.

The story is good and full or intrigue. However the narrator takes some getting used to but once you do it is a very good book overall.

Great Story, OK Narrator

Narrator was a little too angry, but it was a great story to listen to.

Narriator awful

Did not enjoy the narrator style. Very poorly done. At times it felt like he was yelling at me. Story line was good as always though.

Story is Far Better Than the Narrator

After having to listen to one narrator mispronounce names and stumble through some pronoun misuse I was disappointed to hear Kliban's interpretation of Mitch Rapp. I agree with one reviewer's assessment that Kliban portrayed Rapp as snooty and arrogant. Well, I hurried through to the end to get to Executive Power and the calm, confident, no-nonsense image of Rapp gifted to the listener by George Guidall.

Mitch Rapp manup

Would you try another book from Vince Flynn and/or Ken Kilban?

I have read all of the Rapp series. This is the only one I had a hard time finishing. Come on, Mitch should have left his girlfriend instead of being whipped and a crybaby. I fought thru the book only to find Mitch crying in the end. Man up Mitch this is no way to go out.

What was most disappointing about Vince Flynn’s story?

The girl friend

Was Separation of Power worth the listening time?

No
