Narration

Good story but mismatch with narrator. He’s not a bad narrator, just not for a Mitch Rapp story. Stick with it as it gets more tolerable in second half. And if you turn the narrator speed down a level or two it is much easier to listen to.

over act much

The story is good and fun but with Ken's narration it seems like every conversation the is an argument.

Good story, flawed narration. Read paperback.

When I started getting annoyed with Mitch and Anna, started disliking their characters in this book, I stopped myself and asked why that was. It was the narrator and his weird screech yelling that he seems to favor. The other thing that kind of bothered me about the narrator was the strange ways he chose to pronounce words, words like despicable or how he'd say lived, as in short lived, pronouncing the hard i, as in we're live on the air. Anyway, that's just how I feel about the narrator, but the story was pretty good... I'd recommend just reading the paperback.

I don’t like the presentation

I don’t like the narrator!! I don’t think Mitch would raise his voice like that or anyone around him would. Ken likes to yell!! I have whole series and love the story otherwise.

Missing George Guidall

George Guidall needs a raise and should complete a series instead of having different readers telling the stories throughout a series. He's the best and this book would have been much better.

pretty good

one character I cannot handle is Mitch's girl friend. she greats on my nerves with her pushy overbearing ways and thinking rules do not apply to her. I k ow this is a book but a good one. I found myself getting lost in the story to the point I was super frustrated with Ms Riley.

looking forward to starting the next book.

Another excellent story, of course, by Mr. Flynn.

Fantastic story with lacking narration unfortunately. Mitch Rapp makes it still worth a listen! I am forever a fan of Mr. Rapp.

Narration...Not Good...Story..not as strong.

What was the most interesting aspect of this story? The least interesting?

This is my fourth Rapp book for me..loved the the first three. Story line wasn't the strongest. Not your typical Rapp series..Ok, I get it..he is in love and she is in love with him..but how much dedication and story telling and description does one need..enough already... we get it. This didn't keep my interest as much as the first 3. Here's hoping the 5th book is a gem.

What didn’t you like about Ken Kliban’s performance?

OMG, horrible. The first three books and two different narrators. Both were excellent. Sorry, but Ken did not do justice to Rapp. Sounded whinny...females voices were also horrible. Accents were decent.

Narrator makes a difference

Would you listen to Separation of Power again? Why?

No. I stopped listening because the narration drove me nuts. I listen to so many books on tape and I have never stopped the book on tape to read the hard copy. I did this time.

What did you like best about this story?

I love the Mitch Rapp stories

How could the performance have been better?

Yes.

Great story ruined by terrible narration

Would you recommend this book to a friend? Why or why not?

I would recommend someone buying the printed version and reading it. Ken Kilban is terrible at this narration. His pace is much like William Shatner's Captain Kirk and he reads everyone as if they are yelling at each other all the time.

Who was your favorite character and why?

Mitch Rapp of course. He is a fantastic character.

Who would you have cast as narrator instead of Ken Kilban?

George Guidall. Arguably the best audio book narrator.

Do you think Separation of Power needs a follow-up book? Why or why not?

It has many follow up books. These, thankfully are narrated by George Guidall.
