Narrator turns Rapp into a snooty, cranky man

This is the eleventh Vince Flynn book I've listened to, I saved it for last because of the poor reviews regarding the narrator. I couldn't finish it. He made all of the characters sound whiny, anxious and condescending including Mitch Rapp.
A snooty, anxious Rapp?!
Three years into my audible subscription this is only the second book I couldn't finish due to narration.
I'll get this installment on Rapp the old fashioned way I think, actual paper.

Horrible Narration

I fell in love with the Mitch Rapp series and was thrill when these older books came out. After listening to the first chapter without George Guildall narrarating I've decided not to purchase any others. The story would be great but the story teller is horrible. THIS IS NOT MITCH RAPP!! Please redo with George Guidall!! Please!

wasted money

I can't believe I am rating a Vince Flynn novel as one star but here it is. How sad. I have purchased this novel in paper but I hate to read, then I purchased it in an abridged format, YUK, and despite the reviews I was excited to get the entire thing read to me. NOT. This narrator is really bad. I can handle the narrative parts but when he does voices Mitch sounds like a whining 16 year old kid, Kennedy and all women sound the same, like old ladies. It is so bad it overpowers the excellence of this book. If this is your first audible purchase do not judge audible by this terrible production, it is rare to be this bad. To audible, either issue refunds or get this redone and offer to replace this fiasco. To Simon and Shuster audio, shame on you. This is really inexcusable.

File under "how to ruin a good book . . ."

I am still in the first half of the book as I write this review. The narrator is just awful. He makes every character sound like a shrill, whiny, complainer. The action is just starting to really come together, but I can hardly stand to listen. Ken Kilban makes Mitch Rapp sound like he jumped off a rainbow float in a New Orleans parade to assassinate a terrorist before berating the hotel staff because it gave him the wrong candle to match the room's feng shui and messed up his bubble bath. Rule: never, ever, listen to a book read by this guy.

Cannot finish it...

The narrator is the worst I have ever heard. I can't even bring myself to finish the book. He turns Mitch Rapp into a high pitched, whiny hero. George Guidall , the narrator for all of the other Mitch Rapp books, really captured the essence of all of the characters in a given book, male and female alike.

Mitch, Vince, I am sorry!

If there is one single man on the face of this earth who can assassinate the mighty Mitch Rapp.... It's Ken Kilban! George, where the hell are you, your country needs you! Kilban leaves me feeling like Mitch is more of an interior decorator / gown designer than razor toothed predator. Ohhhhh the humanity!
