Publisher's summary

Dante had been courting his victim in cyberspace for weeks before meeting her in person. A few sips of wine and a few hours later, she was dead. The murder weapon: a rare, usually undetectable date-rape drug with a street value of a quarter million dollars. Detective Eve Dallas is playing and replaying the clues in her mind. The candlelight, the music, the rose petals strewn across the bed - a seduction meant for his benefit, not hers. He hadn't intended to kill her. But now that he has, he is left with only two choices: to either hole up in fear and guilt or start hunting again....

Seduction in Death

Another great addition to the series! The narrator did a great job again with characters and bringing the story alive. And I was happy that there wasn’t a preview at the end of this book!

"The innocent and the beautiful have no enemy...

...but time." William Butler Yeats ✨✨✨

If one have listened to , at least two, other books in the series ; one would know Yeats is Rourke favorite author and poet. Therefore, this quote by Yeats , perfectly convey the essence and theme of Seduction in Death. ✨✨✨

🎧🎙Susan Ericksen did some minor adjustments in the voices , she uses most of the main characters of the series. She modulated Peabody voice to be more feminine and less gravelly; same goes for Treena. think they're an improvement. 🎙🎧

🎭My only complaint is how constantly rude and selfish is Dallas. 🎭I know it's part of her persona but she goes overboard at times. And these goes for all the books in the series. 🎭

Love this series!

I love the characters in this series and Susan Ericksen does a fantastic job with each of them! I especially love Rourke and can never get enough of him! The characters and series grow along with their relationships- wonderfully written and fabulously performed!

Eve Dallas and Roarke NEVER a disappointment

As always JD Robb puts out yet another amazing story. The love story is amazing to read…not to mention the steamy love scenes. 50 shades takes a back seat to JD Robb’s writing. Hot hot hot… the story lines NEVER get old as series’ usually do. This is the second time I’ve read through the series and it’s even better the second time around!

a matter of points

Excellent writing, fantastic cast of characters, and a shocking storyline makes this book one of the best of the In Death series. Lt. Eve Dallas must hunt down the killer or killers when a game for points turns deadly. Eve must determine if she's looking for a killer who has a dual personality or if it's actually two killers when a second death occurs in the same manner. We also see in this one the results of the love triangle between Peabody, McNab and Charles Monroe, Summerset tending to an overworked Eve and Eve's father trying to mess with her head when the killings trigger dreams of him. All of this and more makes for a "can't put down" book filled with action, humor and suspense. Robb at her best once again.

Good story - tough narration

The story was interesting- but the narration was killing me. Nearly every character sounded sarcastic, snarky or sounded like they were flat out yelling at everyone - all of the time. I did like the story. But I had to take it in smaller doses because of the angry narration.

Perfect Author, Perfect Series, Perfect Voice

The In Death Series is one of my absolute favorites, and this book is a good change of pace from the more serial-killer-oriented ones that always leave me a little uneasy. Plus, the final solidifcation of Peabody and McNab's relationship is just great. And in the narrator, who in my opinion was born for this exact series, and you have a great ride.

Heart goes pitter pat

I love this series but something about the particular book was a step above the others. Several things, the characters were up to their usual tricks. Eve had some great one-liners that had me laughing out loud. The meeting between Charles and Louise Dimatto made my heart soar. Can't wait to read more.
