New twist on government takeovers, behind the scenes political backstabbing and plotting. Good novel
Fast pace, easy to get involved
I received this novel in exchange for a fair review and I always do fair reviews. Good book
First of all this audiobook was given by the author, narrator, or publisher at no cost in exchange for an unbiased review via Audiobook Boom. This was the second series by Tom Abrahams that I have thoroughly enjoyed. Sedition weaves a tale of political conspiracy with references to current events that make this story a book I couldn't stop listening to. Kevin does a great job of telling the story as the Narrator.
Sedition reminds me somewhat of American Exit Strategy by Mark Goodwin. Both are tales of individuals force to take control of the American Government after a catastrophic event.
My favorite scene from the story was the art opening and its hinge point in the storyline. It could have made the storyline go several ways.
Also enjoyed the epilogue where the character of Maddie comes to a realization about her mother that had taken her years to get to.
Can't wait for book two to be released to find out what happens with this cast of characters.
Sedition is a political thriller, and I found the book fascinating and wonderful to listen to. The story follows the lives of several people during a political crises unlike any we have seen so far. A president is dead, and a group is trying to take control of the government.
I found the book riveting and easy to follow. I liked the short chapters as it made it easier to listen to and pause if needed. I found myself sometimes confused on the differences when chapters jumped from person to person on perspective.
The narration by Kevin Pierce was also top notch.

Just a few hours in and really enjoying this book. Not sure where it is headed or how exactly we will get there, but I am thoroughly enjoying the ride. Superb narration, great characterization, voice and tempo.

I'm a technology teacher and love all kinds of books.
This book of fiction is about the behind the scenes look at how people can be manipulated and used in politics. Will they subvert the system? Listen and find out.
The character development was very good and I loved the narration. I'm not usually a political reader/listener, but this story has a pretty interesting plot that would be scary if it is actually true.

I received the audible edition free & had already been thinking about getting it because I enjoyed the Traveler series by the same author.
Many twists & turns in the story & I enjoyed how they were presented. I also enjoy the narrator. I've heard him read a number of other books & his voice is perfect for the political thriller and similar genre.
This is a good and detailed mystery thriller. The author introduces lots of interesting facts about American history, the Arts and Washington DC. All while spinning a intriguing story about power, corruption and a terrorist plot.
This is a well crafted story preformed by a fantastic narrator.
I love Tom Abrahams work.
Kevin Pierce is my favorite narrator & he never disappoints.
These things being said I wasn't blown away by this one. I wasn't invested in any of the characters. Not even Miss Howard. Still I think it would make a great movie! I do feel like this one stands alone so I don't feel the burning need to hurry up & get the next in the series.
I did learn a few things like I always do with Abrahams works. Reading or listening to his books always makes me feel smarter. Lol
The story was conceivably realistic in the fact that I feel it could happen.
Will I recommend this one? Probably not.... But I will others by Abrahams.

Even though this a fictional political thriller, it's scary to think of what actually goes on inside the government given some of the things you hear about.
An interesting political thriller full of suspense, deceit, murder and betrayal woven into a complex, well written, entertaining and engaging story about a conspiracy concocted by a group that calls themselves the Daturans to usher in a new government order. Current events are referred to as to why they want a change in government. They want control and are willing to kill in order to achieve their goal.
I really enjoyed that there are actual facts woven into the story about how the government works. No matter how small a fact or piece of information, I always enjoy a story even more when I learn something new.
Kevin Pierce does a fantastic job with the narration. Great character voices. Both male and female. His narration flowed smoothly and was clearly spoken. He has a talent for making the characters and stories come to life. I have never listened to a book he has narrated and been disappointed.

I have read all of Tom Abrahams books so when I saw this book offered for review i jumped at the chance. The first half of the book read like a history lesson but all the players eventually melded into an intersting story. If there is a second installment I will purchase but I hope it becomes less "educational" now that the background is set. Overall I would recommend this book!
