Another Great Novel by Lisa Gardner

Excellently written, kept me on the edge of my seat. Performance by the narrators were fantastic as always

Possibly the best book I have ever read.

This book made me cry so hard several times.
Narration's exceptionally good.
In my humble opinion a masterpiece.

The BEST Lisa Gardner! 10 STAR!!!

This book is an emotional rollercoaster that brought back some bad memories of this 53 year old gal....but the way Lisa Gardner weaves her characters, and plots her revenge makes me feel so much better! At first, I had to go over the first three chapters, not quite putting together the timeline, and the spider interjections. Then, the whole story came together in all it's cruelty, broken dreams, intrigue and emotional turmoil. The story slowly progresses into a current of righteous happiness and revenge that only the author and narrator ...Anne Marie and Lincoln .the Masters...can do! It's hard to really put into words how profound this book was for me... It's rather personal... suffering from years of violence and tragedy, you'd think I go for romance or comedy....but "Say Goodbye" cleared up a few heavy stones for me believe it or not! Thank you...I will remember this book for the next 25 years...there are only 14 to this list. Keep up the wonderful work!!!

Convoluted Murder Mystery

If you could sum up Say Goodbye in three words, what would they be?

This is a convoluted story with many characters. You have to pay attention to understand which character is being portrayed as part of the mystery is the lack of names - As I listen as I commute to and from work - I would get so wrapped up in the stories I didn't mind the bumper to bumper traffic.

What other book might you compare Say Goodbye to and why?

Not sure as this is the first of its kind I have listened to. It was recommended by a previous reader.

What does Ann Marie Lee and Lincoln Hoppe bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

Though the narration is good - the actors did not differentiate voices to well between characters at times and I got confused.

DISTURBING, COMPELLING, RIVETING!

Really enjoyed listening to this audiobook. Loved it!! It has a plot that will keep you glued to your seat, great characters, great story, and great narration. Good, good stuff. If you're squeamish it may not be for you, but if you love thrillers, this is one you definitely want. I'm very much looking forward to reading more of Lisa Gardner's books, this one is AWESOME!!

Disturbing

I am listening to the entire series - so I felt I had to finish this one. Parts were very disturbing however the ending did somewhat redeem the awful parts. If you remove the disturbing parts it was a good audiobook. The series is great - definitely keeps your interest.

Seriously heartbreaking

I love Lisa Gardner and this FBI profiler series, as always she didn't disappoint with the plot twists and suspenseful moments, but it was really, really hard to listen to because of the child abuse topic, especially when it is presented in the first person. I am a survivor of child abuse and it really hit home, made me want to hold my son really tight at night. If you are not super sensitive when it comes to children - it is a great read! But can definitely feel heartbreaking in one too many places.

Did the plot keep you on the edge of your seat? How?

yes i was so unprepared for this listen the plot on multi levels a true thriller with deep human suffering in so many different ways .a parent worst fears coming true

What about Ann Marie Lee and Lincoln Hoppe ’s performance did you like?

very well read and keeps you interested the voices of each character was notably different and at times very creepy and gut wrenching awesome performance

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

yes it was i finished it in 2 sittings

all I can say is wow this book in great detail gives you a view into the world of a predator and the process of the victims breaking also the victims will to survive in unimaginably depravity in circumstance day and night. How Horrible these children endure in fear confusion and human debasement the predators are pure evil and prey on helpless children it really makes me thank God this has not happened to anyone in my Life personal note however it is just this week 3 victims have be rescued from a 10 year house of horrors and one of the victims gave birth to the predators child a Real Issue and a Horrible Reality for Thousands of Abducted children that are lost and abused who do not make it back home and we never know who are neighbors really are very scary indeed Lisa Gardner Really put in the work on this book this by far is the Best Read of her work yet I will never forget this Book great writing great read and really makes you think that if you think this couldn't happen in your community it probably has and will again very scary world we live in these perverts are everywhere in our schools online in our places of worship and in child care centers worst of all waking up to find your child not in his or her bed after you tucked them in last night!!

OMG!!

I have never devoured a book such as this. My stomach was in knots and my whispered exclamations had my husband almost as drawn in as I was. The talent behind this tale is first rate. Thanks for the ride!
