Publisher's summary

The Dunnes have set off on a 10-day boat trip, a trip that hopefully will bring them closer together, despite the fact that the father, Stuart, is staying behind on land.

But only an hour into the trip, they're already falling apart. The teenage daughter plans to drown herself, and the teenage boy is high on drugs. Ten-year-old Ernie is near catatonic. Still, their mother, Anne, with the help of her brother-in-law, Jeff, is insistent on pulling everyone together, once and for all.

Just when things start to take a turn for the better, disaster strikes. Stuart is left to pick up the pieces and find his family - but he is eager to start a brand new life.

Maybe he's a little too eager.

Very entertaining

I disagree with some of the criticisms of this book. It was a little unbelievable, but certainly entertaining. After "You've Been Warned" I was a little leary of this book. I was not disappointed. I liked the readers and very much enjoyed this audio book. Definitely felt that I got my money's worth.

Good Read

I enjoyed listening to this book. Not your typical James Patterson thriller but had some suspense and some twists. I would say it's "good" but not "great". The narrators also did a very good job in my opinion.

Shouldn't Put It Down

Plot, characters, setting, suspense. One of his best books. If you like Patterson, then you won't put this book down until the end.

Enjoyable Light Listening

Good narration. The ending was better than some Patterson books that wind up too quickly and neatly.

Sail

Thought this was a good story. I'm used to reading non-fiction sailing adventures, so this was a little departure from that but still well-written and entertaining.

I couldn't wait to finish this book!

This is about the 6th audio book I have listened to and I have to say it's my favorite so far. I love the fact that there was a male and a female narrator. You were always left guessing who the next chapter would be about as the narrators didn't always stick to reading the male or female part. It was fast moving story that I found myself stopping in the middle of the day to listen to. I just noticed the publishers summary though has the names of the characters completely wrong.......wonder what book they listened too ??

Great mystery

Great story and plenty of twists. I found the sex sections to be a bit graphic but other than that it was a good book.

Thrilling

Once you start you don't want to put it down. Patterson has done it again, he reels you in from the beginning and just keeps you hanging until the very end.

Hard to put down!

James Patterson has done it again. The story line is very interesting and I like how the voices for the man are read by a man, and the woman's part is read by a female. It makes it so much easier to listen to. Enjoy!
