Suspense is a new radio series that wonderfully retells some of the most suspenseful old-time melodramas originally told from stage, screen, radio, and in fiction.
In Suspense, Episode 4: Proof in the Pudding, an eerily perfect newcomer, Pepper Madison, performed with devious cordiality by Adrienne Wilkinson, arrives in a small town, Poseyville, and enters her pudding into the highly competitive, and highly catty, local annual cook-off. But the town busybodies, rancorously and wonderfully played by a cast of performers, begin to suspect that Pepper and her pudding may not be what they seem. Imagine Ozzie and Harriet meets The Twilight Zone.
When an all-too-perfect newcomer to a small town enters the local cooking contest, her rivals become suspicious about her entry - specifically, what might be in it... Also stars Dana Perry-Hayes, Rocky Cerda, Johnny Francis Wolf, and Eric Kelly.
SUSPENSE is a revival of 'radio's outstanding theatre of thrills', which ran from 1942-1962. Featuring a mix of original scripts and adaptations of pulp-era short fiction, all performed by our crack company of Hollywood talent, this new version of an old classic is well-calculated to keep you in...SUSPENSE!
