Publisher's summary

A calculating killer who calls himself The Teacher is taking on New York City, killing the powerful and the arrogant. His message is clear: remember your manners or suffer the consequences! For some, it seems that the rich are finally getting what they deserve. For New York's elite, it is a call to terror.

Only one man can tackle such a high-profile case: Detective Mike Bennett. The pressure is enough for anyone, but Mike also has to care for his ten children-all of whom have come down with virulent flu at once!

Discovering a secret pattern in The Teacher's lessons, Detective Bennett realizes he has just hours to save New York from the greatest disaster in its history.

Undoudbtably the best book he's ever written!!

I enjoy Patterson's books. Living in South Florida, they are good beach reading material. I can usually take a break and enjoy the water, sand, sites and sounds, and Then, get back to reading. NOT SO in this book! It grabs you right from the start and all the way through to the heart wrenching end! It is definately not a book where you want to be distracted. At the end, I wanted to stand up and holler YEA! Being an audiobook person, I can remember other books that were "made" by the readers. The readers here were Outstanding!! However, even if you were reading it straight off the paper pages, it would still be supurb! Don't pass this one up!!!

JP writes the best stories and series.

As book 2 begins our hero, Mike Bennett, has another bizarre case assigned to him. As a recently widowed man with 10 children he has to constantly be "on". It begins with several unrelated high profile crimes being assigned to Mike Bennett.

At the same time his motley crew of his children begin to come down with a terrible flu virus. As it begins with 2 or 3 kids initially it quickly begins to move thru all 10.

As a great role model type father and detective he manages lead collegues and his family. He also get the bad guy in the end. A great read or listen!
