Publisher's summary

A calculating killer who calls himself The Teacher is taking on New York City, killing the powerful and the arrogant. His message is clear: remember your manners or suffer the consequences! For some, it seems that the rich are finally getting what they deserve. For New York's elite, it is a call to terror.

Only one man can tackle such a high-profile case: Detective Mike Bennett. The pressure is enough for anyone, but Mike also has to care for his ten children-all of whom have come down with virulent flu at once!

Discovering a secret pattern in The Teacher's lessons, Detective Bennett realizes he has just hours to save New York from the greatest disaster in its history.

Loving the Bennett series.

Started with the Murder Club series. The story is good and characters you live and love to hate.

pauses between chapters and music take away from the story the narrator was a little bit too fast in his presentation

Michael Bennet deserves more

After reading Step on a Crack, Bennet's first appearance, I had high hopes for this book. I still like the Bennet character, but the Teacher seemed shallow compared to Jack from "Crack". I still plan to get the next in the series, "Worst Case", but if you are a Patterson fan, Read "Crack" first. It's a great introduction to the Bennet character and will likely hook you a lot quicker than this on.

Was expecting more

I love Patterson books, but this one had little thrill and chase. It just kind of ended. I enjoyed it but not as much as some of Patterson's other books

Riviting

Wow, this had me on the edge of my seat, I loved the two narrators, The Teacher's voice gave me chills he was so good (I think that was Dallas), I really enjoy this series and following the Bennett family and Bobby's narration of Mike Bennett.
