Rumpole and the Primrose Path finds Rumpole stuck in the Primrose Path nursing home, while his colleagues are planning a memorial service. But there's life in the old brief yet.
In Rumpole and the Scales of Justice, our hero is back in harness, defending a senior police officer accused of conspiracy to murder.
Rumpole and the Vanishing Juror sees Rumpole dealing with the strange case of a disappearing jury member.
And in Rumpole Redeemed, Rumpole encounters an incorrigible recidivist who seems unlikely to reform; but everyone is capable of redemption, even Rumpole.

The voices in this dramatization are perfect. Timothy West is a fantastic Rumpole. Prunella Scales is perfect as Hilda Rumpole - all the voices are top notch. It's a great way to listen to Rumpole. I didn't want it to end!
John Mortimers creation is terrifically realized in this BBC Radio 4 dramatization. A terrtific preformance. More Rumpole please
I like the dramatized edition but not always!
Not really but that is not to be expected in a Rumpole.
The Bar scenes and with the other baristers
I thought it was very well done. I am new to Rumpole and enjoyed the dramatization and the lead character.
It was just very solid.
"Rumpole & the Primrose Path."
An enjoyable listen in the main - well produced and acted, with interesting stories.
The big turn-off for me, and the reason this audiobook only got four stars instead of five, was the frequent and highly irritating musical intrusions; the same few dreary notes which set my teeth on edge!
Otherwise, this is an easy listen with some gentle comedy mixed in with the legal language. A good introduction to Horace Rumpole (and She Who Must Be Obeyed!) if you haven't come across him before.
"Rumpole and the Primrose Path"
This is an excellent dramatisation of the book by John Mortimer with a series of intriguing characters making their appearance to enhance, or thwart, the progress of Rumpole in ensuring justice. It is an easy listen, with plenty of comic moments, divided into manageable sectors which are invaluable to the listener with small available time spans in which to immerse themselves in Rumpole's world.
"The human face of the law"
These four short plays were delightful. Each with their share of angels and villains shows how adept Rumpole is in getting out of a tight spot and thinking on his feet.
The cast, headed by Timothy West as Rumpole and Prunella Scales as 'She who must be obeyed', is better than just good. The characters come to life and the humour of the situation is brilliantly conveyed.
This download is for anyone who wants a quite, entertaining night in. It still brings a smile to my face to remember it.
