Great start to a great series!
I'm rereading this series. Or rather I read them before now I'm listening to them. I love the narrator. Mad Dog was one of the best antagonists of the series and still is. And Lucas Davenport is the ultimate cop. No other like him.

The first Prey book and one of the best
If you have not experienced John Sanford's Prey series, you are in for a treat. Richard Ferrone is a great narrator, the characters are incredible, and the bonus is there 20 more of these after this one.
Plus if you are from Minnesota, live in Minnesota, or simply like Minnesota, you will enjoy the Midwest setting.
The downside is that John Sanford's writing will spoil you for many of the other prolific writers of this genre. He is among the best.

Good storey but.....
i enjoyed the book except for the left wing thoughts that it's ok for a woman to decide to have a baby without the man knowing. it was nauseating the way Lucas waa manipulated by the women . he should grow a pair.
