Love this series of books

If you enjoy a historically based novel, have a background knowledge of the English royal family, enjoy a strong female character, like mysteries, & enjoy twisted humour - then you will love this series. There is a bit of romance, but it doesn't overshadow the storyline. The reader does a great job depicting the cast of characters. Would love to hear more by this author.

Another great Royal Spyness Mystery.

I would first like to mention Katherine Kellgren's performance which I think is top notch! She absolutely puts me in the place you need to be in to understand the royal "thing". I love the story and the constant humor that finds it's way into every turn of the page so to speak. I often find myself laughing out loud as I listed to these books. Keep them coming!

Great fun

This series of books is great for relaxed reading. Somewhat like the Elizabeth Peters series with Peabody. They are interesting from a historical perspective, i.e. what one does or doesn't do in society at the time; the "shame" of Mrs. Simpson etc. and written in a light, great for vacation, style.

Loved it!

Storyline kept me guessing from beginning to end. But my favorite part was the narrator. She effortlessly gives life and personality to each character and manages to seamlessly move from one to another without the characters getting lost or mixed up. Well done!

This book, and indeed the entire series, is just plain fun and enjoyment. The books are lighthearted but interesting, with great characters and wonderful plots. The narration is "spot on." The books are just right for a summer listening session or for any time that amusing, light stories are what you crave.

These are are a great listen ..... the stories are truly enjoyable and the narrator is superb. I am seriously sad that I have now listened to them all and have to wait for what I hope
will be another!

Royal Glush is a fast moving mystery and romance set in Merry Old England with membrrd of the Royal Gamily.

I had a lot of fun

If you come into the Royal Spyness series knowing it is an adventure series first and a mystery/romance series second then i think you can have a great time with this. In that regard the book keeps to the form with a daring air ship chase scene, riding on horses to escape assassins, and conspiracies to boot. It is over the top and ridiculous but that is what I came here for and what I enjoy about this series. I do think it offers an odd problem that Georgie doesn't interrogate about her family, but then that isn't really who Georgie is as a character. If you enjoyed the previous two books you'll enjoy this one.

I do critique that Royal Flush is interesting title choice for a book that has nothing to do with card games or other things. I think this is in reference to a scene with a toilet? This might have meant something more important earlier in planning and they just kept the title.

Good voice acting and solid presentation of the text. Bowen is good at accents.

The Royals almost get flushed!

Another delightful tale with Lady Georgie our heroine. She figures it all out for the police again. 🙂
