To her rescue comes young Sister Anne, who runs the Refuge, a shelter for homeless women. When a woman from the Refuge is found murdered in the alley, Sister Mary Helen goes to work searching for clues.
In this, the ninth in the author's series featuring the genuinely lovable, independent, and sensible Sister Mary Helen, listeners will be happy to find that age doesn't seem to be slowing her down a bit.

"Another first-rate installment in an unfailingly entertaining series." (Booklist)
This is a fun mystery. Everything that nuns and detective comedy are meant to be. But ... be patient, the first 30 mins are flat narration. Suddenly everything changes. The rest is primarily dialogue and the animation is excellent. I particularly enjoy the elderly Sister Mary Helen's Irish brogue.

I thought I had the mystery figured out a couple of different times, but the story kept me guessing. This is the first book by this author that I have read, and now I want to read the others.
This title will please lovers of "cozy" mysteries. O'Marie's characters are charming and her descriptions of settings are wonderful. This is an easy, fun listen.
