Well Worth It
I haven’t read any Tom Clancy in nearly 20 years, and I forgot how good of an author he was especially his earlier stuff. Red Storm Rising takes a while to get up and running as the political backdrop is set, but once the book starts to move it moves like a the F-19B Frisbee from the book. The narrator took a little while to get use to, but overall did a good job drawing me in, especially with is military like voice.

The Classic of the genra!
I re-listen to this tale every few years or so. While it was once modern and futuristic, its aged since it was first released, so it's getting to be nostalgic when I return to it. It's still great though

timeless Story
The story line written in 1983 could just as easily be written now. Tom Clancy a better of world event then most now. The narrator is excellent.

Great World conflict
Where does Red Storm Rising rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?
One of the top books. So many things happening with so much hardware. Tom Clancy tells a great story. If you are a Clancy fan, you will love this.
What was one of the most memorable moments of Red Storm Rising?
I like how Tom Clancy brings a conflict into a real possible event.
What about Michael Prichard’s performance did you like?
Clear, Crisp, fast yet slow enough to understand the meaning Tom wanted

The Book that started it all
I remember picking out this book before family vacation to the beach. I brought it to fill the dead time as family vacations tend to have. The first day, lying in the sand, I started reading. I had never been so consumed in abook or story as I was with that book on the beach. I never thought it could get better but hearing this book come to life is a whole new level of amazement. It could not have been done any better. With every chapter I can remember exactly where I was on the beach and the excitement and page turning curiosity is the same, if not better. This audiobook brings to life the characters that sent me down the path of Tom Clancy, Dale Brown, and so many good authors. This book is a must-read for any military enthusiasts or for anyone who just wants an insight to what could have been and what could still be. If I I'm asked what my favorite book is I've always said, Red Storm Rising by Tom Clancy, the best book I have ever read.
If you are looking for a great story, this is it. Buy it, use a credit, get it as a gift, but get this book in your library as save it.
