It's Finally Over
If you could sum up Red Storm Rising in three words, what would they be?

What was one of the most memorable moments of Red Storm Rising?

How did the narrator detract from the book?
The narration was dreadful. Pritchard routinely put me to sleep. There was a great deal I didn't like about how he handled the book or at least was directed in. A large issue was cutting between scenes. The book is so intense and so technical that he didn't try to accentuate when scenes were changing. Since he didn't have a consistent Russian accent half the time I was listening lost what front he was talking about.
The book needs to be reread today and with a different director as well as voice. The novel wasn't done justice. First bad Audio book I've run into. Especially one with such a great story behind it.

Excellent unabridged story, Tom Clancy at his best
What did you love best about Red Storm Rising?
Full of interesting characters put into historically plausable scenarios. One of my favorite Clancy novels before he went all commercial with ghost writers.

Well Worth It
I haven’t read any Tom Clancy in nearly 20 years, and I forgot how good of an author he was especially his earlier stuff. Red Storm Rising takes a while to get up and running as the political backdrop is set, but once the book starts to move it moves like a the F-19B Frisbee from the book. The narrator took a little while to get use to, but overall did a good job drawing me in, especially with is military like voice.

The Classic of the genra!
I re-listen to this tale every few years or so. While it was once modern and futuristic, its aged since it was first released, so it's getting to be nostalgic when I return to it. It's still great though

timeless Story
The story line written in 1983 could just as easily be written now. Tom Clancy a better of world event then most now. The narrator is excellent.
