Tom Clancy's finest work.
This is easily one of the most immersive books on the market. the highly descriptive writing of Tom Clancy puts you right in the middle of the action, be it on a submarine in the middle of a game of cat and mouse, in a fighter jet streaking across the sky, or on a boots-on-the-ground battlefield.
I cannot recommend this book enough.

Loved it
I think I red this when it was new 30 plus years ago. I read this after having read “The Third World War” by Sir Hatcher. I recently rediscovered this gem. It does not disappoint. Good story, well paced. I wished at the time Mr. Clancy would have continued the story of the weatherman and his lady. I can’t really complain because I love the Jack Ryan series.
I highly recommend this book. It does not include Jack Ryan.

When I was in the Navy we passed this book around. It was the subject of our conversations for quite a while. Listening to this brought back good memories.
The narrator does a fine job with the story. This is a very enjoyable listen...

Ice and Blood
Read this when it came out, A LONG, LONG time ago. Audible version is a little different from my head version, but great nonetheless. So many different professional and personal agendas fighting for supremacy. Loved it the second time as much as the 1st. What has always surprised me is the empathy I felt for the Soviet soldier. Even their party leaders. Forced to confront the tough choices and making decisions that affected millions. That said, they were elitists madmen, with no real connection to the realities of true leadership and understanding of dying for something larger than themselves. Leaders with power to destroy without consequenceor remorse.

amazing book should be a Netflix series
they need to make this into some sort of Netflix series or Amazon I'm really surprised Amazon hasn't made it I'm sure they could stick Jack Ryan in there somewhere maybe in place of Edwards but either way I really like this book
