Publisher's summary

They died with smiles on their faces. Three apparent suicides: a brilliant engineer, an infamous lawyer, and a controversial politician. Three strangers with nothing in common - and no obvious reasons for killing themselves. Police lieutenant Eve Dallas found the deaths suspicious. And her instincts paid off when autopsies revealed small burns on the brains of the victims. Was it a genetic abnormality or a high-tech method of murder?

Eve's investigation turned to the provocative world of virtual reality games - where the same techniques used to create joy and desire could also prompt the mind to become the weapon of its own destruction.

Crack another case with Eve Dallas.

I simply loved it.

Any additional comments?

I am still in awe of this futuristic word that Robb created.  It’s inventive and still so much fun to be able to soak up every crazy element.  I am a HUGE lover of sci-fi and romance and this brings both of those genres together. It’s the perfect series for me.

Eve’s relationship with Roarke is one that I have LOVED since the first book and it keeps getting more and more intense.  The love scenes in this book! Boy howdy!  I bet Ericksen was blushing to her toes delivering those lines.  And speaking of Ericksen, she has quickly become one of my favorite female narrator's.  I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE her Irish accent for Roarke, especially when he is angry! OMG!

Rapture in Death gets nothing less than 5 Boundless Stars, I simply loved it....Sara

Honeymooners return

As the newlyweds end their final days, death finds them even off planet. They hit the ground running. JD Robb storytelling is awesome filled with twists, turns and passion. I love how the next book starts where the last one ended . Susan Erickson voices are amazing.

Love Eve Dallas

I've read the whole In Death series, and this book is one of the best. Roarke and Eve are wonderful together, and this book, in addition to the mind control story, has just the right amount of hot, passionate love scenes. I would recommend starting at the beginning with Naked In Death, and continue on through the rest.
The narrator did a great job, and I liked how she differentiated the voices.
I'll be listening to Conspiracy In Death, which is the fifth book in the series, next.

Great book 5

This is the fifth story of JD Robb’s In Death series. Eve Dallas and Roarke are now married and on their honeymoon at his space resort. They are enjoying their time away, but a death on the station has Eve returning to cop mode. When they are back in New York, a series of suicides Of well known people have Eve rethinking the death on the resort and intuitively feeling they are linked. As Mavis whirls into professional singing, time is running short for Eve to find out who is killing people through mind control. There’s a killer loose and she’s going to find them if it’s the last thing she ever did - and it nearly is. Narration was excellent!

Hope I never have to hear her again.

Love Eve and Rourke, narrator is terrible. She reads like everyone is hard and cruel.
