Fun thriller, but chock full of filler
I had a good time listening to this book and following along as the plot starts piecing itself together. Clancy is a master at visualizing military characters and making even mundane agent work exciting. However, there's a lot of filler, including metaphors being repeated so many times I'm pretty sure it's just copy pasted. Also, in our post 9-11 works, I assume most people have heard this story 3 times over already.

Blurred Lines Between . . .
A real possibility and fiction. I read this book abt 12 yrs ago & is a great audible investment! Goodness, a lot of philosophical pondering. Can 1 extreme stance justify another? Great job, R.I.P. Mr Clancy!

So many stand alone stories; that keep coming
The many divergent parts of the story are all tied together like spokes on a wheel. Each could be a short story of their own. Interest is constantly piqued.
I have to agree with other readers the narration was not good at all, but if you listen to just what is said and not how it is said the book is OK

I can see why it's a classic!
when I ask around about Tom Clancy's books I often get told that this isn't one of the best but this is the first one I've read and I'm excited to read others if it's not the best.this was a really fun ride and a great book I think to start if you're a reading Tom Clancy stuff so check it out
