Good Story, Poor Narration

Rainbow Six is a must read for all true Clancy fans. This is a fairly long book but you will not be bored. The narrator on the other hand has two voices, 1-Edward R Morrow, which he uses for all American characters and 2-Other, which he uses, with minor variations, for all non-American accents. If the character has more than one line, he starts off with somewhat of an accent and by the end of three or four sentences, loses most of it. You will frequently find yourself rewinding to try to figure out which character was actually speaking. Nevertheless it is still a worthwhile listen. Thankfully, this narrator is not used as much in later Clancy novels.

If you like Clancy You will love this.

Would you consider the audio edition of Rainbow Six to be better than the print version?

If you like Clancy You will love this. If you love military style with extensive realism and attention to detail you will love this. If you are law enforcement you will love this! Some harsh language so be ready for the F word a few times.

Who was your favorite character and why?

Always love Ding. He is real!

Which character – as performed by Michael Prichard – was your favorite?

Vega.... Sounded good.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

NOOOOO way to long for that. Need to decompress after each chapter.

Great book

Character development can drone on a little long but he does weave a good story and you feel like you know the characters by the end. Great job!

Loved the details!

Would you listen to Rainbow Six again? Why?

I have and I will! I'd listened to the abridged version many times in the past, but I couldn't pass up this new unabridged version. I loved the additional details and information.

Did Michael Prichard do a good job differentiating all the characters? How?

I was not over-impressed with the voice characterizations, but I was not completely disappointed.

Any additional comments?

Though the narrator is not a
