The nation is gripped by the infamous Ragdoll Killer. Every news bulletin and headline is obsessed with this story. Your friends, your family and your neighbours are all talking about it.
Believe the hype. Sold in over 32 countries and counting,
Ragdoll is the standout thriller of the year.
A body is discovered with the dismembered parts of six victims stitched together like a puppet, nicknamed the 'ragdoll' by the press.
Assigned to the shocking case are Detective William 'Wolf' Fawkes, recently reinstated to the London Met, and his former partner, Detective Helen Baxter. The Ragdoll Killer taunts the police by releasing a list of names to the media and the dates on which he intends to murder them. With six people to save, can Fawkes and Baxter catch a killer when the world is watching their every move?

I have not listened to anything this exhilarating since Mo Hayder's 'Poppet' and I believe this is better (although not better than all of Mo Hayder's books) , it starts with a bang and keeps on going at 100 miles per hour.
I believe you will enjoy this book if you are a fan of Mo Hayder, M. J. Arlidge, Tania Carver or Paul Finch.
Andrew Wincott is the best narrator this book could have had, he really makes Wolf come to life in a way that many other narrators could not do (although there are many I prefer) he does an excellent job with this book and I wholeheartedly recommend it to fans of the above mentioned authors.
You WILL be kept guessing, all the way through, as to the identity of the killer.
"Not for me"
Not time well spent. Found the whole premise silly and unconvincing.
I might but unlikely
I only finished this book as I hate being defeated. Shall return it.
"What a Ride!"
I really enjoyed this one. Gruesome plot, macabre even at times this races on until the conclusion which is thrilling and has a most dramatic backdrop. I think it's worth saying up front that it won't be everyone's cup of tea. Like most serial killer plots it is a bit fanciful at times and the characters are not exactly genre-busting in their creation. However, the book signals very clearly early on just what you are getting and stays true to the ground rules that it sets itself.
Andrew Wincott gives a very convincing performance behind the microphone saving his very best for the closing scenes. A lot has and will be said about this book but I have no hesitation recommending that it's given a chance. You'll soon know if it's not for you and you can return it having lost nothing. On the other hand if it does grab you at the start I don't think it will disappoint, you're in for quite a ride!
"Undoubtedly this book is in my top 5 ..."
List of books I will never Ever read again!
Apart from not getting past this being read by Adam from The Archers; there is nothing whatsoever to recommend this.
Sorry, but its only about the 2nd occasion I've wished for a zero on the ratings scale!
slightly unrealistic premise he would be involved in the scenario at all. okay though
This is a good story, but the narrator only had a very small repertoire of characters & voices, they all sounded like relatives of Danny Dyer! I would have probably enjoyed it more with another someone else reading it.
The book started off ok, but as the chapters went on, I found myself zoning out because of the narrator.
"I read on average 4-5 books a month..."
...I've been a member of Audible for over 10 years. I don't perhaps write as many reviews as I should but this book was woeful - from the awful narration, which reminded me of Saul Reichlin - the appalling female voices, the un believable story and character interactions which deteriorated as the book progressed. This was an awful experience, just going to prove that I need to research every purchase instead of going on collective reviews. Wolf was a character I couldn't get into, the people that Massey was trying to murder, how he went about it, it was scarcely believable after the first one pegged it. It isn't scary, it's almost laughable - just don't...
This had me gripped from the beginning. The performance by Andrew Wincott was great (with the slight exception of little EL ;) ). The story was excellent ! Get this book!!
