"Well-plotted, suspenseful fun." (Kirkus Reviews)
Ghosts among us
McMahon is great, as always. The book keeps you in suspense, and the interweaving of two storylines, the past and the present, is very well done. It is another scary story about terrible things that happen to little girls who live in small towns... I highly recommend Don't breathe a word by the same author, it is a masterpiece!
I love a good supernatural story with good content, especially from authors that don't feel the need to add smut.
I would have made the main characters name feminine. I kept thinking Reggie was a boy. The main character wasn't very likable, either, making her reminiscent of a Gillian Flynn character.
I liked other books by the author more than this one. This one was ok but I found the others more interesting.
None of them.
I can't see it as a movie, so I have no answer.
Say something about yourself!
Interesting psychological mystery/thriller with a paranormal twist. Good read. Celeste Ciulla's narration was ok.
The story was pretty good, but you have to pay pretty good attention to keep up with when you are.
It would be better if it didn't drag quite so much.
Not much variation
Thought the story and narration was good. Held my interest while I was walking and that was all I was hoping for. New to the book club and think this was a good first choice.
