Publisher's summary

The next explosive book in James Patterson's number-one best-selling Private series!

For Hannah Shapiro, a beautiful young American student, this particular nightmare began eight years ago in Los Angeles, when Jack Morgan, owner of Private—the world's most exclusive detective agency—saved her from a horrific death. She has fled her country, but can't flee her past. The terror has followed her to London, and now it is down to former Royal Military Police Sergeant Dan Carter, head of Private London, to save her all over again.

In central London, young women are being abducted off the street. When the bodies are found some days later, they have been mutilated in a particularly mysterious way. Dan Carter's ex-wife, DI Kirsty Webb, is involved in the investigation and it looks likely that the two cases are gruesomely linked.

Dan Carter drawn on the whole resources of Private International in a desperate race against the odds. But the clock is ticking....

Private may be the largest and most technologically advanced detection agency in the world, but the one thing they don't have is the one thing they need—time.

Great listen overall, I recommend it

Great plot, interesting characters. The narrator is engaging, except when he tries to perform female characters, which is almost comical. Fortunately, the majority of the story revolved around male characters, so I was able to overlook it, but I would find it distracting if there was more dialogue by female characters.

Boring!

Too much detail and a Very Predicable story. This is the kind of writing that started people staying away from Patterson. Don'y easte a credit.

Great mystery! Can't go wrong with Patterson and the Private series is exciting to read. I hope the next one has more of Jack in it.

Suspense and Intrigue in True Patterson Style

I'm a huge James Patterson fan as much as I love my romance novels. PRIVATE is yet another great series in Patterson's repertoire. This series usually has multiple plot lines and this installment of private weaves quite the interesting story. I was pretty stumped throughout so if you want a good "whodunnit" this is it! There are several layers of characters and twists and turns so be ready to pay attention and you wont be disappointed.

Will We Ever Get Just James Patterson Again?

I would love to see Mr. Patterson write a novel on his own. His would be clones just don't have his magic.
