Love this series

Good narration, story keeps you very interested. I'll be getting the next ones, I've enjoyed it.

I love Patterson, & the Private series. The performance was great, but the story didn't move me.
I my opinion, it wasn't really on par with the other Private books I've read or had read to me. Remember, this is just my opinion though. You may have an entirely different opinion. I highly encourage people to make up their own minds.

An interesting problem

Would you listen to Private: #1 Suspect again? Why?

At some point I may give it another whirl since I did like the first book in the series, but I'll have to give it another few months. Maybe when the inevitable next book in the series appears... It was a lot like the cliffhangers that let you know the serial continues next week or next season--unresolved personal and family issues that can be used to lead into another story.

I wasn't crazy about the narration - something about his voice wasn't very convincing

The story didn't have a lot of context to it. You needed to remember the murder victim from a prior book. Likewise, the reason for the long standing beef between Jack and his twin Tommy was glossed over in explanation.. Just not alot there to motivate me to pick up another in this series tho i probably will

Great series

It sounded like the narrator was out of breath when reading longer sentences. I am enjoying the series very much.

Great action, too much drama

This is my second Private novel. Just too much emotional crap - detracts from story.

Changing the Narrator

Good book. Simple story but poor narration. Book 1 in the series has better narration.

Patterson.Paetro put out another enjoyable adventure.

Scott Shepherd is quickly becoming one of my favorite narrators.

I love the stories

I like the first reader from book 1. But I love the story. it's giving me a new genre.
