The wife of a renowned anthropologist is drawn into the disappearance of the famous Dr. Whitehead who was to announce the discovery of a lifetime and then is murdered on board their cruise ship. When a mysterious illness creeps through the passengers, Mia abandons the cruise ship with her husband seeking a supposed sanctuary and instead is delivered back into a world of unbelievable horror.
A gripping novel of suspense, intrigue, twists, and turns that you won't be able to put down.
A warning: Don't listen to this book in the dark alone!

I will make sure I will never listen to a book narrated by Paul Cameron ever!!! The deliverance was such a monotone that I couldn't get past it & try to enjoy the story. Don't know if the story was good or not as I had to quit listening just to save myself from being bored to death.
The narration is awful. Horrible. You cannot understand what the reader is saying.
ANYONE ELSE. I have listened to hundreds of audiobooks. Some narrators I love and some I don't. Most are okay. If the book is half decent I can overlook the narration and just get into the story. But this is horrible by anyone's standards! I could not understand a word he was snorting. I could not go beyond five minutes. It isn't just a style thing. It's a bad production.
Characters? I couldn't understand what the guy was grumble mumbling enough to know if there were characters. Or a plot or anything else.
