The delightful, enchanting story of Precious Ramotswe’s very first case, read by Adjoa Andoh. What would you do if someone was stealing things from your friends? Would you try and find out who the thief was? Once upon a time in Botswana in Africa, there was a little girl called Precious. She would grow up to be famous as Precious Ramotswe of the No. 1 Ladies’ Detective Agency, but she had to solve her first mystery while still at school. Who has been taking things that don’t belong to them, and how can Precious make sure the wrong person doesn’t get the blame?

A reader who loves to sew, which makes Audible ideal. No special trends but always on the lookout for recommended titles. Appreciate good stories not the graphic details which seem to be the trend.
Short very enjoyable, easy on the ears quick listen of the usual Alexander McCall Smith high standard.
I am an avid eclectic reader.
This is the same story as The Great Cake Mystery so if listen to that do not buy this one or you will waste a credit as I did. Adjoa Andoh does a great job narrating the story. The story is short but delightful. It covers Precious's first case as a child detective as she finds out who is stealing the children's school lunches, mainly the cake.
Remember this story for a 1 hour trip with the kids this summer everyone will enjoy it.
"Excellent story brilliantly performed"
I wasn't expecting to enjoy this book as much as I did. I bought it for the children (aged 6 and 4) to listen to while driving and it was a real hit with everybody in the car.
Adjoa Andoh's performance is highly entertaining.
Don't hesitate! We can't wait to listen to the others.
"Another precious instalment"
I love the No1 Ladies Detective Agency series, so I was delighted to see this series for children following Precious's story as a young girl. I enjoyed this as much as my four year old! Easy listening, fantastic narration and just an all-round lovely story.
