great book for men and people who love politics

This book was a real thriller at times. The narrator I felt read slowly so I listened to the entire book at 1.25 speed which went well and I enjoyed the book a lot better. a lot of characters to remember and switching back and forth but they were easy to keep track of.

The mantle has been passed!

Excellent story, very good narration. Vince Flynn, you will always been missed. Taken too young, you had so much more to say. Ben Coes, you have big shoes to fill, but this book is a very promising start.

What made the experience of listening to Power Down the most enjoyable?

Loved Dewey and the complexity of the story. The plot was predictable but the development was awesome and surreal.

Who was your favorite character and why?

Dewey. He is complex and interesting. His backstory is good and I look forward to the development of the character.

Which scene was your favorite?

Weird, but the scene where he broke up the fight on the rig. I could feel his authority as I listened.

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

Not really, but it kept me listening for sure.

Any additional comments?

I look forward to seeing how his efforts to be out of the public eye serves him in future roles.

Could it happen?

The answer could be yes. Great thriller. Very enjoyable listening to. Can't wait to see what happens with Dewey next.

Good, not Mitchell Rapp. More political.

I found it not drawing be back in, but the intelligence the author brings the story is intriguing. Reminds me more of Gabriel Alon than Mitch Rapp. While the character is the constant, it's not the real story.

Another Great Read.

I really enjoyed the book. The narrator did a great job. It was a spellbinding read.

Even though some parts were drawn out and boring, I understood they were there to give background information about the backdrop and story world. Besides that, Coe's prose are amazing and his ability to describe action is a rare find. Thought about the characters as if they were real, and this throughout the day. Life is getting so bizarre that I don't find this confusion abnormal. I highly recommend this book and author, and am looking forward to the adventures of the hero, Dewey. sp?

WOW!! What a start for the next great Hero!

If you could sum up Power Down in three words, what would they be?

Couldn't stop listening, on the edge of my seat all the while driving to Salt Lake. Had to turn it off and grab some sleep. Couldn't wait to get some breakfast hit the road and turn the action back on!

Did the plot keep you on the edge of your seat? How?

So many twists, great plot, great characters. Ben Coes has nailed Drew Andreas as the new Sheriff in town.

The grimm reapers name is Drew Andreas!

If you were to make a film of this book, what would the tag line be?

Payback is on it's way from just outside the country!

Really interesting premise. The patience of the extremist adversaries is really well portrayed. Very well done.
