Publisher's summary

Looking to get lucky?

Stephanie Plum is back between-the-numbers and she's looking to get lucky in an Atlantic City hotel room, in a Winnebago, and with a brown-eyed stud who has stolen her heart.

Stephanie Plum has a way of attracting danger, lunatics, oddballs, bad luck . . . and mystery men. And no one is more mysterious than the unmentionable Diesel. He's back and hot on the trail of a little man in green pants who's lost a giant bag of money. Problem is, the money isn't exactly lost. Stephanie's Grandma Mazur has found it, and like any good Jersey senior citizen, she's hightailed it in a Winnebago to Atlantic City and hit the slots. With Lula and Connie in tow, Stephanie attempts to bring Grandma home, but the luck of the Irish is rubbing off on everyone: Lula's found a job modeling plus-size lingerie. Connie's found a guy. Diesel's found Stephanie. And Stephanie has found herself in over her head with a caper involving thrice-stolen money, a racehorse, a car chase, and a bad case of hives.

Plum Lucky is an all-you-can-eat buffet of thrills, chills, shrimp cocktail, plus-size underwear, and scorching hot men. It's a between-the-numbers treat no Evanovich fan will want to miss!

Critic reviews

"Evanovich's series is as addictive as Fritos....Evanovich serves up consistently craveable goodies." ( People)
"Chutzpah and sheer comic inventivenessin addition to good fun, the Evanovich/Plum books serve as a nice antidote to everything in pop fiction today." ( The Washington Post)
"No less than her plotting, Evanovich's characterizations are models of screwball artistry. The intricate plot machinery of her comic capers is fueled by inventive twists." ( The New York Times)

Great writing, excellent reader!

I Love Janet’s Evanovich’s writing and Lorelei King is very well suited to the material. Definitely recommend!

It's OK for a between-the-numbers book

The "between-the-numbers" books are to try and keep the Stephanie Plum fans at bay. This one was better than the last, I thought. It has its funny moments. I was impressed that Janet Evanovich even included Joe and Ranger. Usually that doesn't happen. As male characters go, Diesel is a little strange for me. Lorelei King does a nice job, as usual, with narration. This is a fluffy 3 hours with a few good laughs but I'm waiting for the next "number book".

Great road tripping book!

My husband and I laughed the miles away. I wish Lula was a real person!

Plum Lucky

I’d love to see Lulu’s billboard! It must be a sight. I loved the story and so glad Delvino did not shoot Stephanie. He was aiming for Diesel. I love the part about grandma going to the casino on her “borrowed money “! And, Lula is a trip! Truly love the whole story.

very entertaining

I thought this was the funniest of her "Plum" books. Not much from Morelli or Ranger, but lots of laughs from Lula, Diesel, Gramma Masur and a few very unlikely characters. This is a little less fantasy than her other "extra" Stephanie stories, and I really enjoyed it.

No Joe nor Ranger

Stephanie pairs with a character from an early novel called Diesel in "Plum Lucky" and I found I really missed Joe and/or Ranger. A good read that amuses but I wouldn't rank it as one of my favourites. I'm not going to give away any of the plot but the antics are still as cute as ever. Written for St Patricks Day there may even be a leprechaun involved!

Who's talking

I often had trouble knowing which character was speaking. The voice changes were not distinct enough. However, Evanovich's story was engaging enough to make up for that (almost).

Plum Lucky

Ms. Evanovich significantly improved her between-the-numbers series with Plum Lucky. Our favorite bounty hunter does battle with Gramma Mazur, Diesel, and a toad-like Mafia lunatic in wholly improbable and entertaining circumstances. Even Ranger and Morelli make appearances. A naked Leprechaun and Connie as a sniper round out the performance with 'Burg class. You'll enjoy it.

Not So Lucky

Not nearly as exciting or memorable as past Stephanie Plum novels. No sexual tension between her and Ranger or even her & Joe which is such a key ingredient in these fun stories.
In fact -they hardly appear in the tale.
Sorry janet - try harder next time. Give us what we really want.
