I haven't read the print version, I really enjoy listening to Grover Gardner, he has a perfect voice for this book.
I find myself laughing out loud at parts and other parts I'm wanting to listen non-stop.
He has a great voice and I really like the way he changes it for the different characters as they speak.
This is the 6th one in the series and by far my favorite. Hard to actually pick a favorite though because they are all really, REALLY GOOD!
I highly recommend this series. It starts with Open and Shut, once you hear that one you will be hooked. However, if you don't feel like listening to the whole series you could still listen to this one without being lost. If you like dogs you will totally enjoy this!
I screwed up review for One Dog Night. I meant to give all FIVE STARS. Audible techinical said there 's no way to correct a review or redo
I love this series and the Tara Foundation. The combination of the reader and the author are perfect. Despite murder and intrigue and bad guys, this is STILL a fun read!
An enjoyable read.
Lighthearted listen with humour, intrigue, murder and enough writer's skill to keep you listening. Great for a break between more serious subjects.
The story is fast paced, fun to listen to and much better than the publisher's summary would lead you to believe. I am already downloading my second David Rosenfelt novel.
Highly recommended. Andy Carpenter is a character who I want to be my friend. Not only is he an exceptional attorney, but he is clever, witty, rich, loyal to his friends, and a dog lover. It cracks me up when he personifies Tara by inserting her thoughts, etc. I appreciate Tara's unselfish behavior by welcoming Reggie into her home. This is a quick listen, throughly enjoyable.
I really like the author. He is very humorous, but I did not like the ending of the book. It could be have been a lot better. Its worth the read through.
This book is part of a series. Excellent story, good listening and good narration. I highly recommend this book along with the others in the series of 6.
This was a little too cute for me. I just couldn't get in sync with the main character. But it wasn't bad. I just didn't think it was all that great, either.
A dog and a murder mystery ...what more can you ask for? Sit back and enjoy a good tale, told ever so well.
The Andy Carpenter Series are wonderful and this one holds up it's end of the bargain.
I read this book first and then went back and read the earlier books by Mr. Rosenfelt. It was a wonderful introduction to a great character: Andy Carpenter. His biting wit and intelligent writing brings you along for the ride. Grover Gardner is equal to the task. As soon as I finished this book--I bought all the others and didn't listen to anything else until I had finished. It doesn't aim to be great literature but to tell a good story. I loved it.
This is a nice book to listen to and was quite funny. Andy has a quick wit which sometimes makes you laugh out loud. very well read and an enjoyable break from serious books.
