This was my first Rosenfelt book. I thought it was quite fun. The characters were believable, the plot was clear and continuous. Over all it was very easy to listen to. If you like dogs and law stories, you should enjoy this. And the narrator was maticulous as always, Grover Gardner is a seasoned veteran of audiobook narration and he was perfect for the job.
Nice, easy, enjoyable read.
All Andy Carpenter series books are great and worth the listen. I have listened to all books in the series and love them all. The mix of wit, humor and drama are excellent. Just carefull when listening while working out you may laugh while lifting.
This was another great story by a very talented writer. Great story line and lots of quick come backs. I'll probably use some myself. Couldn't put it down.
But I liked it. It was a pleasant change from the seriousness of courtroom drama. The courtroom scenes, testimony, legal objections, and isues, were genuine, not hokied up for TV. A bit too much on the cheeseball jokes and comments, but laughable nevertheless. Overall good listen.
I would not listen to Play Dead again but then I almost never "re-read" a book.
I was satisfied with the book and would probably listen to another from the same author.
I've become a huge David Rosenfelt/Andy Carpenter fan. I love dogs and his cases are a fun way to get my dog fix.
