The United States and Russia have joined forces to form the International Peecekeeping Force, a body created by the Athens Peace Conference in the wake of nuclear war in the Middle East. Assigned control of every nation's orbiting nuclear hardware, the IPF's job is to prevent any military action across national borders, anywhere in the world. Period. The IPF is capable of dealing with the normal run of chicanery. But when super-terrorist Jamal Shamar makes off with the world's last half-dozen nuclear warheads, a new force is needed: Mercenaries, An elite clandestine force available to anyone, anywhere, as long as the cause is world peace.

"Cole Alexander's search for the international renegade who murdered his family forms the core of this fast-paced chronicle of a very special group of elite soldiers. Satellite warfare, guerrilla action and undercover operations highlight this action-packed adventure by the author of The Kinsman Saga . Recommended where military sf is popular." (Library Journal)
The narrator is too hard to hear and understand. I am loosing much of this book for this reason. I would stick with more recent recorded books, the audio is very disappointing.
Could have been much better! This story is told about the Peacekeeper, it's a slow story, with little to no action. Sort of like hearing a story from a history book. I'm a Ben Bova fan but this book is a disappointment.
