Publisher's summary

Brad Thor and his indomitable hero, Scot Harvath, are back, raising the stakes and taking on one of the world's deadliest terrorist organizations, one bent on stoking a global holy war of apocalyptic proportions.

After rescuing the president from kidnappers, Navy SEAL turned Secret Service agent Scot Harvath shifts his attention to rooting out, capturing or killing all those responsible for the plot. As he prepares to close out his list, a bloody and twisted trail of clues points towards one man: the world's most feared, most ruthless terrorist, Hashim Nidal. Nidal has assembled an international league of Islamic terrorist networks in an ingenious plot to topple both Israel and America. Harvath and his CIA-led team must reach Nidal before it's too late. One problem remains; they have no idea what the man looks like.

Only one person can positively identify Harvath's quarry: Meg Cassidy, a beautiful hijacking survivor. Together, Scot and Meg must untangle a maddening web of global intrigue stretching across four continents. From Macau, Jerusalem, and Chicago, to Libya, Capri, and Rome, Harvath and Cassidy find themselves locked in a desperate race against time to sort the pieces of a deadly puzzle that will test not only their physical and mental limits but also the growing bond they feel for each other.

"Nonstop action." (AudioFile)
"With its infallible hero, fetching sidekick, and wicked bad guys, this international shoot 'em up sticks close to formula, but the well-choreographed action and thrills will keep listeners engrossed." (Publishers Weekly)

Brad Thor and Suspense

What made the experience of listening to Path of the Assassin the most enjoyable?

The story is complex. A lot of effort has gone into to making all the pieces connect logically and then another layer is there for great entertainment value.

Who was your favorite character and why?

Obviously Scot Harvath.

Have you listened to any of Armand Schultz’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

Armand does a great array of voices. Easy to picture different people talking.

Any additional comments?

I am now a Brad Thor fan. His writing improved and now I am on a mission to hear all his books (as I ride the bus to work).

Kept This tired trucker awake.

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

As a driver, I listen to a lot of XM. Mostly old time radio. So I gotten use to stories while I drive. Since I bought a radio with aux plug for android, I plug my phone into the radio, and listen to the books. Thanks to Glenn Beck and he having Mr. Thor on, I learned about his books and been a fan ever since.
The action, how Mr. Thor describes what is going on around the character with out so much detail that I pass out and the last thing I hear is my head and the Bridge support meeting.
Everything seems just right to keep you listening, wanting more.

Who was your favorite character and why?

Scott how ever you spell his last name, though threw later books, starting to like the troll.

Have you listened to any of Armand Schultz’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

Just on Mr. Thor's books.

If you were to make a film of this book, what would be the tag line be?

Chick flick, or this. Your choice.

Any additional comments?

If Brad reads this. MORE.... And do another intervue with Glenn. That is so much fun.

Decent, but nothing spectacular

Nothing here really stirs things up to the point of wanting to read another one...

Not bad... This is my only Thor novel so far. He was recommended to me and supposedly has others that are better. Apparently Lions of Lucerne and the one written right after, Path of the Assassin (can't recall the name).

Nice and toned down version of a brad Thor hit.

Short and sweet. The good guys one and the bad guys got their comeuppance. Too short.

Enjoyed the first one better

What did you like best about Path of the Assassin? What did you like least?

I like the main character. I also like the details of people and places. This book seemed to drag a little compared to the first book, The Lions of Lucerne. It was still enjoyable and since I plan to go through the entire series it was next on the list. Maybe it was a little let down but still enjoyable.

Would you recommend Path of the Assassin to your friends? Why or why not?

Yes, if you enjoy a writer and the character chosen you need to read each book. I don't understand how someone can enjoy book 5 in a series, for example, without reading 1-4. It's like going to the final chapter and feeling you know the whole story. By the way, Rosebud was a sled.

Have you listened to any of Armand Schultz’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

First time

Do you think Path of the Assassin needs a follow-up book? Why or why not?

He's written it

Any additional comments?

No, enjoyable

kept my attention throughout!

Any additional comments?

The more I read/listen about Scott Horvath the more I miss reading/listening about how social work was done by Mitch Rapp.
