The happy life Faith McMann knew as a wife, mother, and teacher was destroyed when vicious criminals murdered her husband, kidnapped her children, and left her for dead. After paralyzing grief, fear, and despair, there was nothing left for her to feel...except fury. But striking a staggering blow against a brutal ring of human traffickers was just the beginning of her uphill battle.
Though her daughter remains missing and her son is lost in the wilderness, Faith's relentless efforts have reunited some children with their families. They've also made her and the rest of her family the targets of a sadistic crime boss. But Faith has learned plenty about survival in the lawless underworld she's storming. And she's forged an unbreakable bond with two no-holds-barred allies in the war against evil. As they dodge assassins and take down predators, Faith travels deeper into the heart of darkness, determined to rescue her children at any cost.

I love espionage, legal, and detective thrillers but listen to most genres. Very frequent reviews. No plot spoilers! Please excuse my typos!
TR Ragan writes outstanding crime thrillers. But beware, unlike the Lizzy Gardner series the novels in the Faith McMann series are not stand alone; they end in a cliffhanger situation which is to be resolved in following books in the series; that is, it is a serialized series. To understand this book (Outrage) the prior book, Furious, must be listened to first.
I couldn't put it down. This book is way better than the first one, and the first one was great. Can't wait for the next one. Excellent narration. Great plot, Suspense, drama. Just a great book
Good number two book in the trilogy, and I will go to number three. The author kept my attention but the reader had some pronunciation blunders. She is reading California place names, and is obviously not from there. This may not bother anyone from the other 49 states, but it was distracting to me. For example, the first "a" in Vacaville is pronounced like a short letter "o"...a Spanish derivative.
The second book in the series was just as good as the first. can not wait for the 3rd book to come out. wish there was a way to get an alert to know when it is coming out.
These are not usually the type of books I buy but this series has made me open up to new types of books.
going to be buying more books by T.R. Ragan.
Say something about yourself!
The story of Faith continues. Read the first book first. All the sorrow and frustration still resonates in this second installment. The head of the trafficking racket has declared war on Faith, her, and friends. At least 80% of her family have been physically assaulted. There is no quick fix to this sick epidemic in our society or for Faith. This book leaves Faith with many more questions and searches.
The characters of Rage and Beast is expanded. Faith was consumed so much with her situation that she did not note anything of her friends. In this installment, T. R. Ragan took time to tell more of their story. Rage is an exceptional character and her story is truly one of strength. These mothers (Faith and Rage) illustrate what mothers will do for the safety of their children.
Beast and Rage feel the need to help Faith based upon their personal losses. Beast is anything but a beast. His actions are always done with a desire to change the predicable consequences for some of our actions. It is just difficult for him to have a calm conversation about the transgression.
The struggle for Faith and her family is shown. In addition to the gun injuries and bruises sustained by her family the most injurious is what it does on their moral. While Faith will never give up, others have obligations to their families, which cannot be ignored. This tragedy has changed all the people that are involved.
TR Ragan does it again! I love Faith as much as I loved Lizzy Gardner… never a dull moment! I can't wait for the release of the next book…hopefully I will not have to wait for long, as the suspense is killing me!

l am looking forward to hear the next book and hope for many more to come
I love all genres of books. However, when I listen to audio books as I clean, garden, drive they are better with a lot of heat!
Outrage starts off where Furious, the first book in the Faith McMann trilogy, ended. These really should be read in order.
Faith's children, Hudson and Lara, have been kidnapped and are believed to be in the hands of a human trafficking ring. With the aid of her family as well as Beast and Rage, two people Faith met at an anger management class, Faith is trying everything to find her children and bring them back home.
Outrage was non-stop heart pounding action and emotion from start to finish. I loved the dynamics between Faith and her family and their extended group. Beast, his dad Vinnie, and Rage are wonderful characters that add that extra little something to this trilogy. The story is told from multiple perspectives including the children's and some of the criminals' involved in the trafficking. There was a lot going on! I finished it in no time at all because the plot kept moving at breakneck speed and simply gripped you, but it did have a couple of flaws that stopped me from giving this more stars.
My main issue: I just couldn't picture Hudson as a nine-year-old boy. His thoughts, language, and behavior always made me think of a much older teenager. As a result, I didn't actually feel worried about him at all.
For Wrath, the final book, I'm hoping that Ms. Ragan is not going to veer off too much into over-the-top, suspension-of-disbelief drama with some of the story lines. In particular, Miranda's exploits and the background of one of the crime bosses and his relationship with his mother came a bit close to some eye-rolling moments for me in this installment.
Overall though, an entertaining and enjoyable thrill ride, but the first book had more of an impact on me.
Kate Rudd was excellent with the delivery of the story
I mostly like to read fiction, series books of my favorite authors! Listening is a great way to read a lot.
Faith kids are still missing and the human traffickers are after her and her family. She is feeling a lot of outrage. Definitely Recommend this book. Narrator Kate Rudd is very talented. T. R. Ragan has another winner series in the making!
Great story, narration terrible. She sounds stilted, monotonous almost robotic for the most part.
The whole book had very formal language which, for me, made yhe characters not believable.
The content, however, was great and very informative about human trafficking and the things that happen to those who are stolen from life and sent into hell. that, and that alone, gave it 4 stars.
Need a better narrator for such an emotional issue.
