It was always the first question he asked.
They called him when they had nowhere else to turn.
Raised and trained as part of a top-secret programme, he was sent to the worst places in the world to do things his government denied any knowledge of.
Then he broke with the programme and disappeared. But now someone's on his tail. Someone who knows he was once known simply as Orphan X.

"Outstanding in every way." (Lee Child)
"Orphan X blows the doors off most thrillers I've read and catapults the readers on a cat-and-mouse that feels like a missile launch. Read this book. You will thank me later." (David Baldacci)
"Orphan X is his best yet-a real celebration of all the strengths Gregg Hurwitz brings to a thriller." (Lee Child)
One of the best books I've listened to in a long time!
Non stop action & suspense from beginning to end
"Yep, I'll be back for more..."
Good premise, pace & writing... definitely more going on and more twists and turns than I expected. Kept me hooked and I'm looking forward to book 2 now!!
"READ THIS BOOK!!!"
This book is legend! Read it and give yourself the most amazing literary experience ever.
From start to finish; captivating, nail biting page turning genius.
Greg Hurwitz, you are the man!!
Orphan X is packed with action from start to finish, I highly recommend this book.
captivating action. great narration. plot sometimes a bit contrived. great concept. looking forward to sequel.
"Good but not his best."
This is a complex and gripping story by an excellent writer. I've been waiting quite a while for a new release from Greg Hurwitz and I wasn't disappointed. But in my opinion it was not his best. But still very enjoyable! It finished with plenty of space for a follow on or a series of the nowhere man. Here's hoping we're that lucky!
"good, spolt with overacted main character"
a good plot and entertaining characters. some of the situations were a bit far fetched though and it did twist and turn with characters turning up that were only briefly mentioned at the start with an expetion for you to remeber who they were and what the relationship was.
"Gripped from word 1"
This is a book you want to end so you know what happens but you don't want to end because it's so good. Scott Brickputs his usual enthusiasm into the narration and I bought the next book of the series before even getting to the end of this one as I want to know what happens to Evan next.
"Solid but formulaic"
Enjoyed the listen a lot but not a huge amount to differentiate it from other similar stories in the super-hero type genre. Saying that will listen to the next book for sure!
"An enjoyable listen"
The hero is a real rufty tufty sort
When the baddies were dealt with
This was very much a Jack Reacher type of book, without the humour. However, it kept me guessing and I enjoyed it.
