Awesome

This book was awesome. Fast paced with rich characters and a gritty story. The narrator is as always incredible. I highly recommend.

McLeod Andrews brings the ripper alive

see above. First off I gotta say I loved the Rho Agenda trilogy and this book was better than any of those. McLeod Andrews is an incredible narrator and I will be buying other novels he's read just to hear him. I can't wait to start the next book in this trilogy, so much so I'm gonna shut up now and get Dead Wrong started.

What did you like best about Once Dead? What did you like least?

Loved our hero and Janet's talents and skills. This story seemed a bit too long or need just a bit better editing when Rolf's scenes were up. Lots of characters, but many just didn't go anywhere.

If you’ve listened to books by Richard Phillips before, how does this one compare?

This is my first, as it was on sale to try out a new author. Reviewers said #2 was better, but this did not disappoint. Good sale buy

I purchased this author due to MacLeod reading the book. He is excellent in this one and his skills at great reading made me stay with the story.

Could you see Once Dead being made into a movie or a TV series? Who should the stars be?

this would be better for film as it did have lots of action, but you would miss MacLeod reading it.

This series is addictive. If there was another I could buy it would already be downloaded.

The narrator redeemed the author

There's a lot of potential in this book, but the author writes more like a military debrief than an action novel. It's full of excessive technical gain and needless specifics. You could play a drinking game with all the mentions of an "Agent K sub compact"...

The narrator redeems the book by creating wonderful voice characters. Each chapter is taken from a different perspective and he is great at varying the many characters.

Overall, the story is way too slow to develop and resolves much too quickly and easily. The character development is mediocre and sometimes seems an after thought for convenience.

I'm not likely to follow this series.

Good plot but lots of violence

The story includes an interesting premise regarding a man facing death. It starts out violent an remains so throughout the story. I was reminded of Jason Bourne and 007.Narrator was decent at changing his voice for some character s.

Loves Andrews as a narrator, he makes any story better. It was a good story, but I wish there was more elaboration in certain areas of the book, won't ruin the plot for you.
