The perfect life....

A successful lawyer and loving mother, Nina Bloom would do anything to protect the life she's built in New York - including lying to everyone, even her daughter, about her past. But when an innocent man is framed for murder, she knows that she can't let him pay for the real killer's crimes.

The perfect lie....

Nina's secret life began 18 years ago. She had looks to die for, a handsome police-officer husband, and a carefree life in Key West. When she learned she was pregnant with their first child, her happiness was almost overwhelming. But Nina's world is shattered when she unearths a terrible secret that causes her to run for her life and change her identity.

The perfect way to die....

Now, years later, Nina risks everything she's earned to return to Florida and confront the murderous evil she fled. In a story of wrenching suspense, James Patterson gives us his most head-spinning, action-filled story yet - a Hitchcock-like blend of unquenchable drama and pleasure.

damsel in distress

Not the greatest book I've listened to by these authors. The main character seems to always be in the wrong place at the wrong time. there was to much coincidence.

Overall kept me interested

Would you say that listening to this book was time well-spent? Why or why not?

Yes, it kept me interested.

How would you have changed the story to make it more enjoyable?

Some of the dialog or main characters thoughts were a little cheesy / awkward for me.

What three words best describe Elaina Erika Davis’s performance?

Wasn't a huge fan of the narrator doing a NE accent, but she was a good narrator overall.

Kept me guessing until the very end. Narrator was very good and used different tones for all characters. Very easy listen

Another great book by James Patterson.

In every minute you wonder what will happen to the main character. I loved the narration.

Good story but it crossed the believable line

What did you like best about Now You See Her [Hachette]? What did you like least?

I liked the characters, but the plot went too far, and then it went further. Nobody on the planet has the kind of bad luck the main character had. It was "oh come on", then "really???" Like a bad movie

If you’ve listened to books by James Patterson and Michael Ledwidge before, how does this one compare?

Traditionally I like Patterson, he went too far with the peril of the main character.

Have you listened to any of Elaina Erika Davis’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

No - good reader

Could you see Now You See Her [Hachette] being made into a movie or a TV series? Who should the stars be?

2 stars - the plot was too unbelievable. Everyone expects the bad guy to be bad, and the victim to be a victim but come on.

Any additional comments?

I hope the next one is better

Good story, bad audiobook

The story was interesting and had twists and turns, although it stretched the boundaries of reality. Audio production was poor - narrator was okay, but the addition of background music was distracting. I’d recommend reading this book rather than listening.
