"Another Great book from Tami Hoag"
If you could sum up Night Sins in three words, what would they be?

    Interesting

Did the plot keep you on the edge of your seat? How?

It would have but I listened to the 2 books backwards - I listened to Guilty as Sin first - didn't know there was a first part to it as the books should be a series.

What about Jennifer VanDyck’s performance did you like?

I always like listening to her

    Any additional comments?

Very good book but there is a second one - Guilty as Sin - listen to this one first...

    "A great listen!"
    Any additional comments?

I held off getting this book because of some of the review, and I can agree that the sex in this book does feel misplaced. I'm not a prude about hearing sex, but this definitely took some of the shine off the story, hence the 4 stars instead of 5.

I really like Tami Hoag's writing and her ability to write a suspense thriller is getting better with every book of hers i read/listen too. It's an easy listen, and definitely has that, "i'll drive the long way home" because you wanna hear what happens next!

    "MAD MAD MAD"
What would have made Night Sins better?

Less sex. How many ways does the sex need to be written? Thought I was reading J B Robb. Which I stopped listening to after the 4rth book because of contious sex between main characters. I am not a prude but I think it is laziness on the author part when sex is used as a filler

Would you ever listen to anything by Tami Hoag again?

Yes I have already listened to 6 other books and have enjoyed them, exception Guilty as Sin.

Have you listened to any of Jennifer Van Dyck’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

Yes Guilty as Sin which I think she was either sick or being threaten to read

What reaction did this book spark in you? Anger, sadness, disappointment?

Mad Mad Mad, yes I probably should have read the reviews, and would have found out that this book was two parts. REALLY SHOULD BE PUT IN THE DESCRIPTION. If it would have I would not have wasted a credit on it.

    Any additional comments?

I think these two book were written to meet her publisher quota. All the other books I have listened to I enjoyed, that why I downloaded these two...Dumb Dumb Guilty as Sin, Night Sins I should have had a clue ARRGH

    "Not my favorite."
Would you say that listening to this book was time well-spent? Why or why not?

It was a good, long listen, but felt it could've been shortened a bit.

What could Tami Hoag have done to make this a more enjoyable book for you?

I got very tired of hearing the weather every few pages it seemed. The day, the time, the temperature, the windchill factor..... It's cold, I get it.
The main character, Megan, was a little too unbelievable. Nothing was ever gone into about her background or history to really explain why she is the way she is. Could've just as easily have said she didn't have the family or have a relationship with her family and left it at that. She was a little A little too tough to be believed. Even I was getting a little tired of the chip on her shoulder.

How could the performance have been better?

narrator was OK, but just OK

If this book were a movie would you go see it?

probably not. Not enough twists and guesses for my liking

    "Great mystery"

Really enjoyed this book. The mystery is well done, the humor had great timing. Looking forward to the continuance. I have been happy with this author and I like the narrator.

This was long and boring. Good premise ruined by so much fill you could not skip ahead fast enough. Will not attempt follow up book. Got to the point you did not like agent O'Mally.

    What a cliff hanger ...
Loved the story and characters but the narrator I just could not get into her at all, very dry and blah - however it did not ruin the story !!!

    "A Third Too Long"
Would you recommend this book to a friend? Why or why not?

Tami Hoag always produces a book worth reading as they are invariably well written

Would you recommend Night Sins to your friends? Why or why not?

As far as the crime element of this book it is excellent but, in my opinion, is let down by the detraction of the love interest/sex scenes between the two central characters. This is all rather cliche.

Was Night Sins worth the listening time?

As a whole the book is worth a listen but if you like your crime books to contain only crime/detection then this may not be for you.

    Any additional comments?

The eighteen hours could have been edited down to around twelve and still made an excellent book.

    "Brilliant"

I've read a few of Tami Hoag's books and so far none have disappointed me, Guilty as sin here I come!! Would recommend to those who like a good thriller with a bit of "romance" thrown in.
