Gripping!

Who says there are no original stories any more? Brian Weimer has written a wonderfully faith based science fiction story that is completely original. His attention to detail & explanation of motivations behind his characters make this an incredible book. I actually felt chills during several instances of the book. My only complaint is that I need the entire series on the Audible app! I will definitely be purchasing all of his books!

It's Just Ok.

This book was just ok. Christian literature is generally held to a lower standard than secular literature, which is unfortunate to begin with. This book is only a middling Christian book, and a poor book in general. While the story was fine, and had some interesting concepts, the writing was poor. The story jumped from character to character with little warning, and the way things were described were rather elementary.

That said, I did like the narrator.

God's talent on loan being used the right way.

This reminded me of how I felt when I listened to Left Behind, with the encouragement of spiritual warfare. That's where the similarities ended as Ldft Behind was obviously about world wide disappearances in which everyone chose what to believe. In Nexus, the signs aren't world wide but centered on a campus and focuses on more zoned in personal encounters with different beliefs systems. It is an excellent book for someone looking for more Christian fiction in a world being geared to accept alien creation theories. highly recommend. It isn't preachy but provides a fictionalized form of Christian compassion that is often railroaded in favor of one sided hate. May God bless Brian's career as he blesses us with his mission of using God's gifts to God's glory.

An engaging read

Please note that Nexus is largely a sci-fi, Christian thriller/mystery, and thus might not be everyone's cup of tea. But if it is (or even if it isn't) it's a fun, engaging read with some good themes of, yes, spirituality but also of the importance of trust and friendship, among other things. While it may not be on the same level as Asimov and while it has some weaknesses in character building and plot design, it's still very much worthwhile checking out!

Eye opener, would make a great Anime movie!

Where does Nexus rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?

I enjoyed Brain Weimer's world and characters. The unseen world is exposed in an entertaining and insightful way. Some dark events need to be looked at and exposed for what they really are, and who is really behind them. Nexus brings focus and clarity, do you have the nerve to look?

What other book might you compare Nexus to and why?

More books in the series to experience! Yay!

If you were to make a film of this book, what would the tag line be?

Not all voices in the night speak of love . . .

Any additional comments?

Brian Weimer provides great books they have substance and meaning that enhance our perception of what reality truly is . . . and it's entertaining!
