News Of Paul Temple

Paul Temple meets Iris Archer at a cocktail party, and agrees to write a play for the vivacious actress. So he is most surprised when she suddenly decides to pull out of the lead role days before the play is due to open. He is even more surprised when he glimpses her in the Scottish hotel where the Temples are holidaying; after she had told him that she was going to the South of France.

Does her sudden appearance have anything to do with the mysterious letter passed to Paul Temple by an excitable young man, with explicit instructions to deliver it to John Richmond? What does the enigmatic Doctor Steiner have to do with events?

"Anthony Head does a marvellous job!"

Anthony Head does an absolutely marvellous job of reading all these stories, his slightly Dutch accent on one of the characters is just so ingenious he is gifted. As another reviewer states, it would be wonderful to have more of his readings. Paul Temple stories are as you would expect, wonderfully dated, a relaxing, entertaining and throughly enjoyable listen.

"suave narration + silly plot = good fun!"

This contains all of the most wonderful aspects of the Paul Temple stories -
    a convoluted plot
heaps of red herrings (one is even given special mention at the end!)
    multiple deaths
narrow escapes (for Paul & Steve only, naturally)
and a smooth, suave, sophisticated narrator... All jolly good fun really!
