Over the years I have mostly enjoyed James Patterson's books, but I'd have to say this one is the worst. I don't want to go in to too many details as there would be spoilers. The main character is very unbelievable, I'd like to hope that such an insecure person would not be part of the law enforcement family. I definitely do not recommend this book to anyone.
I did not finish listening to the book. I actually returned it. . I tried to enjoy it, but was unable to due to the highly offensive cursing. A word here or there, I can deal with, but this by far is the worst novel I have listened to (or barely listened to) with Patterson's name associated with it. Anyone who knows me can attest I have thoroughly enjoyed his writings.... up to this point. I sincerely hope this is NOT foretelling of his future writings.
A Better narrator
With a different narrator maybe. Could never understand the story and after an hour or so would reset it because she was so bad!
Don't know since I could never get into the story!
Not a good listen to me Worst James Patterson ever Unfamiliar Australian mining town by description did not create a visual for me won't read/listen to this series again
Will anxiously await his new books
So I think I have probably read all the James Pattersons adult books - I have certainly enjoyed some more than others but have never really disliked any. This book is terrible - in all fairness maybe it improves after the first half - I could not be bothered to finish it. Very dissapointing!
some voice variations would have been great
The worst book I've ever listened to. It is not in English. Could not understand a word she said with her heavy accent. She should NOT be a reader. Also. One if not the worst of Patterson. Won't read him any more if this is a sample of what he is putting out now. Maybe it's not him doing the writing!!!!!
had a very difficult time with both the story flow and the narration-I need to quit purchasing everything that says Patterson because it appears he "lends" his name to anyone
