Cozy Mystery

This is a cozy mystery. If you are looking for an edge of the seat, or cliff hanger, this isn't it. But it is a fun series that isn't serious but has some cute scenes. The debate of whether to bed or not gets a little tiresome and the reference to sex being the only interesting thing to do is distracting but there really are no sex scenes. The Lady is still a lady. There are some funny lines and the references to the royality in the early 1930's is amusing.

Surprise! Trouble Chases Georgie...Mon Dieu!

Bowen surprises again with plot twists and a story that moves as fast as the yachting-set (there are no jets yet!) on a Med holiday. Kellgren makes the story come alive and move quickly with her fabulous accents and voices. I'd like to take the Blue Train to Nice!

Amazing story but truly talented narrator!

Katherine Kellgren brings these amazingly enjoyable stories to life. Her accents immerse the reader completely. Love listening to this series can't get enough!!

Lovey cozy

I love this series. The characters are full of fun & never dull. If you don't laugh at their antics you will at the very least be smiling. Just a great fun read with a mystery.

enjoyed this one in the series

I lose some patience when a woman assumes stupid things without confronting and getting facts so I was a bit frustrated with this one but it was a generally enjoyable book. As always, the performance was perfection.

A Fun Romp

It's always nice to be back in the Royal Spyness world. Even though our heroine, Georgie is still had up and surviving by the skin of her teeth in Depression Era England. When Georgie's horrendous sister-in-law, Fig is invited to spend the winter months in the South of France with her sister Georgie can't help but envy. London is nearly s dreary and depressing as the wild Scottish moors and Georgie feels the need of some sun. When Queen Mary asks her to retrieve a stolen snuff box in Nice she's more than happy to comply, after all, one doesn't refuse a queen. She heads for Nice where she meets Fig's even more terrible sister, a handsome count, and Coco Chanel. Before she can get the box, an expensive royal necklace goes missing and the man she suspects has the snuff box is murdered and the police think she's the main suspect. how can she get out of this? This is a spritely comic mystery with the whole gang. This is as funny as previous entries in this series and a joy to read.

The late Katherine Kellgren captures both the fun and the mystery. Great fun.

Love this series! And the narrator does an excellent job. I save these books for when I work out as they make that time
much more fun.

Great smiles and adventures

I am enjoying the stories in this series, so much fun to listen to. The narrator does such a great job with all of those accents. So many more books to go and I can’t wait to start the next one!!

What a fun series to listen to!

I have listened to the entire series so far. Lots of fun. Not a lot of suspense. Just good fun stories weaving history with mystery. The narrator is really terrific. Can't wait for the next one.
