Had read this book before but listened this time as my vision is impaired, this was perhaps the best in this series and I've either read or listened to all

A Very Well Performed Audiobook of A Decent Story

As an audiobook this is a good performance. The story is clearly written and one can follow this audiobook while taking a walk or commuting. The story itself is Ok. There is a good deal of obscene language, graphic sex and violence. It is a matter of taste. If one enjoys this type of novel, the audiobook is really well done. Thank You…

After reading many and listening to some, I have begun listening from the beginning. Cant wait to continue.

The story was the perfect mix of murder, suspense and steamy romance... I needed a book like this after some of the heavier story lines I've listened to. The narration was PERFECT too. I plan on listening to the entire series... starting book 2 tomorrow.

Where does Naked in Death rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?

Naked in Death is amongst one of the great listens that I have listened to thus far. Susan Ericksen is an excellent narrator. I love the characters Eve and Rourke.

What Was I Reading?

I love my mystery and thriller books and have listened to a lot of them over the years. This one I really can't say I truly liked. The writer's political views were mixed in the story line and the sex was a little over board in certain areas. Didn't like the futuristic element of the book at all. Wasn't needed.

The narrator tried to pin down the NY accent and failed. I am a native NY'er and never heard anyone talk the way Feeney did.


I am not sure I will get Book 2 but the verdicts still out and I have to think long and hard on that. Maybe because this is Book 1 it wasn't all that great.

What made the experience of listening to Naked in Death the most enjoyable?

I have all of the In-Death Books. I own most of the latest books on audio CDs. So when I saw the first book on audio in your collection- I had to have it. I already knew Susan Ericksen had the characters down pat. I just needed to hear if she was a little different with the first story. She was Super just as I had come to expect. So listening to the first In-Death book was a pure joy!

What other book might you compare Naked in Death to and why?

The In-Death books by J.D. Robb are in a class by themselves.

What about Susan Ericksen’s performance did you like?

She does a great job giving voice to Eve Dallas and really makes Roarke sound so fine.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

Yes,it was! And I almost did just that.

Great narrator and author....

Susan Erickson is one of the best narrators of all the books I have listen to - on a par with Davina Porter, and I could listen to anything she narrates. In partnership with J. D. Robb, it is an unbeatable team. This is a series that I would recommend to anyone who enjoys mystery, cop stories, or great narration.

Naked in Death, Book No. 1 in this long series, and I was so excited to listen to every book in this series, as I do love a good series. I made it through No. 3 in the series and could not go on any longer. Maybe I'll try No. 4 later on. The books were good, but not worth going through the whole series. Maybe I'm missing something. Perhaps I just needed a break.
