Until, that is, preacher Gene Dibble turns up dead - and the whole town is convinced that Jake and her tenants are up to sorcery and skullduggery. While the witches are complaining about ghostly moaning and her neighbors are chewing their nails, it's up to Jake to pry out the identity of the real culprit - before the killer nails her.

I just couldn't get into this book for some reason and after several tries just went on to the next one. I have enjoyed this series very much but this particular book just didn't flow like the rest and felt disconnected somehow.
I like this series. There really isn't anything bad to say about this installment of this series. Sarah Graves weaves an interesting tail that puts Jake into trouble that only she can get out of. As always, Lindsay Ellison does a fantastic job as Jake. In my opinion, she is Jake Tiptree. I have read all of the books in this series and will read the next one as well.
