Narrator - very poor

The narrator on this book was completely out of character with a New York personality and a New York speech pattern. I personally found the over pronunciation of every word especially words ending in T for the word "it" drove me absolutely crazy.

Quick, Enjoyable Listen.

Like many mysteries (especially when written collaboratively) the story is a bit formulaic and there are not many surprises. However, the book flows easily and the characters interact easily. I found them to be interesting and unique enough that I will probably buy the next in the series. Both of the protagonists show potential. We already learned a few details about their personalities -- enough to provoke a desire to know more.

I loved this book. I will listen again because it's read so well. The narraters are very good.

Their wonderful speaking voices. I knew exactly who was speaking at all times

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

No. I wanted to savor it in several, but I ended up listening to half of it on the first try.

Good listening. Engrossing.

James Patterson is always worth listening to.

Thoroughly enjoyed NYPD RED

I am a huge fan of Marshall Karp (THE RABBIT FACTORY: Lomax & Biggs Crime Series), so I am thrilled he has joined James Patterson for this new series. The premise is a psycho wannabe actor/director/producer disrupting "Hollywood On The Hudson" week in New York. Enter NYPD detectives Zach Jordan & his new partner, Kylie MacDonald (Zach's ex-girlfriend who is now married to a film producer).

The twists and turns are fascinatingly fun with a distinctive blended voice of Karp and Patterson. High fives to narrators Edoardo Ballernini and Jay Snyder who did a superb job.

Fast paced story and a great listen

First time listening to the narrator, but would listen to other books they are narrating

NON STOP ACTION! Loved the Narration!

This is the first book of NYPD RED and I can't wait for the release of the second one. The two narrators were superb in their depiction of the major characters. Though it is shorter than I am used to, this novel in non stop action. I highly recommend this audiobook.
