exactly what you'd expect from a Patterson book.

Suspense, a weird hidden motive that says, "gotchya" every time. James patterson hasnt lost his touch and the book combined with the performance keeps you addicted every step of the way.

Kept me interested

If you like Patterson, you'll like this one. It's not an unpredictable story but still very good. Kept me engaged.

Addictive

I bought this as a break from reading histories and biographies. It is spot on. The real irony is that they should make this into a movie. One will get the point after reading the story.

The storyline was ok, kept me going. Narrator left me something to desire not enough difference in the voice to tell characters apart

Serial Killer Scares the Crap out of NYC

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

I would recommend NYPD Red if the reader enjoys reading about the misfortunes of others. Serial killer stories are compelling but not altogether believable. It was a fairly short book with a lot of action. It certainly kept my interest.

Did the plot keep you on the edge of your seat? How?

The plot involving the police trying to find the killer was quite engaging. I liked how the voices changed from killer to detective.

Which character – as performed by Edoardo Ballerini and Jay Snyder – was your favorite?

I thought they both did admirable jobs. They spoke very fast which was not altogether enjoyable.

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

No, I've read better books. I liked the book but it was fairly forgettable.

Hope its the start of a new series

I really enjoyed the dual narrators. It helps you keep track of the two paths of the stories. I loved this book and really hope it is the beginning of a new series and these two narrators read the next books.

this read was better the second time around. There have been a few other J. P. books I've listened to more than once. They say it's always better the second time around

patterson is quite an author

the story jumped around. Sometimes hard to follow. the reader did not have slot of expression.

Not what I expected

As James Patterson novels go I wouldn't call it a page turner for me. It started off sort of slow. I honestly got rather bored with plot throughout the novel once I figured out what was going on with the character. The best part of book was ending. I will probably read the next book since I own it already.
