"The best traditional mystery series being written today." (CrimeSpree magazine)
"I enjoy every minute of every book of this series." (Charlaine Harris)
I usually like suspenseful murder mysteries and while this book has a few suspenseful moments, it's not my usual read. With that said it was nice to have a more laid back story for a little break. It's cleverly written and there are some funny parts. It wasn't predictable in that I didn't guess who the killer was. Overall, it kept me entertained which is the point.
When Cherry is found in the chocolate fountain...pun intended!
I really enjoyed the narrator. She has a pleasant voice and was very good at voice changes. I would listen to a book that Christine Leto narrated for sure!
The narrator and the main person in the story Sky.
She has a very pleasing voice and makes you want to listen rather than read.
I thought it was an OK book but I probably wouldn't read the follow - up book.
The story was OK but not a book I would listen to twice.
I listened to the entire book waiting to be engaged -- other readers had enjoyed it. But the romance was not interesting. Although the main characters had some potential (unrealised), the minor ones were phoney cut outs and basically dull. As was the overall plot. The reader made the best of an ordinary text.
CHristine Leto yes
I found a heroine who can't take care of feeding herself and figuring out her personal life a bit trying and uninteresting.
