Bill Crider tosses Texas-sized dollops of humor into his best-selling Dan Rhodes mysteries. Someone bashed in the head of Lloyd Berry, the proprietor of a local flower shop. Dan knows robbery wasn’t the motive, but suspects a member of the town’s barbershop quartet—of which Lloyd was a part—could be behind the crime.

"[A]n entertaining entry in a very likable series.” (Booklist)
I am a mystery fan. I also like American history books that are true to the actual experiences.
The narrator was fun to listen to all through the book. He really had the Texas hometown flavor. The story was excellent and I will read more. Enjoyable all the way through the story.
