Publisher's Summary

When Tess Tremaine starts a new life in the colorful town of Goose Pimple Junction, curiosity leads her to look into a 75-year-old murder. Suddenly she's learning the foreign language of Southern speak, resisting her attraction to local celebrity Jackson Wright, and dealing with more mayhem than she can handle.

A bank robbery, murder, and family tragedy from the 1930s are pieces of the mystery that Tess attempts to solve. As she gets close to the truth, she encounters danger, mystery, a lot of southern charm, and a new temptation for which she's not sure she's ready.

    "Cute book."

Cute book. The narrator grew on me with her different voices. I'm looking forward to more books in this series.

    "First of a great series!"

Brilliantly done! Very unique look at a real unsolved crime committed in the 1930s and solving it fictionally! I love it! Well written! Great character development! Loved the small southern town atmosphere! All around great book! Highly recommend!

    "Great Audio"
If you could sum up Murder & Mayhem in Goose Pimple Junction in three words, what would they be?

    Suspense, Humor, Mystery

What about Karen Commins’s performance did you like?

She distinguished between the characters well.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

    Yes, but I couldn't.

    Any additional comments?

I won this audio in a contest and bought the kindle addition later.

    "Insulting"

Believe it or not people in the south can speak proper English. To create a story in which in which everyone in a small southern town speaks grammatically incorrect is insulting. It also makes it difficult to listen to the story. I stopped listening after about 20 minutes. I do not recommend this story.

    "Not Enough Mystery"

This book is 11 hours long. If the redundant parts of the romance between Jack and Tess were removed this book would drop to probably 8 chapters easy. I don't mind romance but please, no one needs to drag it over as long as this was dragged out. Same stuff over and over, oh he is sexy, oh I want him, no I don't yes I do and it just keeps going

I lost interest in the mystery which was evidently the back burner story

    "Boring"

Besides the fact that the reader reads much to slowly, The writing itself is just a doll. The storyline is tedious. Going back in history and telling us what happened, leaves no mystery. We already know everything. Or at least I know is much as I want to at this point where I am stopping reading because I am so bored.
