No. 7 Ocean Drive is a multimillion-dollar beachfront house in the Hamptons, but its beautiful exterior hides a horrific past. This house was the setting for a series of depraved killings that have never been solved.
Neglected, empty and rumoured to be cursed, it's known as the Murder House, and locals keep their distance.
Detective Jenna Murphy has moved to the area to escape her troubled past and rehabilitate a career on the rocks. But when a Hollywood power broker and his mistress are found dead in the abandoned Murder House, Jenna becomes involved in a case that at first seems open and shut, but reveals more secrets than she could possibly imagine.
As more bodies surface and Jenna is drawn deeper into the dark history of No. 7, she must risk her own life to expose the truth - before the Murder House claims another victim.

This story will keep you guessing. Just when you think you have it figured out-another twist! Great listen for a road trip, a lazy weekend or doing work around the house. Enjoy! We did!!!!
Fast read, and if you like mysteries like I do you'll like this. I did guess who done it fairly early on but it still kept me intrigued.
This kept me on the edge of my seat all the way through. This book kept me guessing from start to finish and I couldn't put it down. Narration was really well done as well.
I loved this book. I love the James Patterson books! This one had so many twists and turns and certainly kept me guessing! Not only did it keep me guessing but it kept me on the edge of my seat. Great narrator as well! Another good one from Mr. Patterson!
no, uhh I know who did it now...
Really enjoyed the narration and would try a book based on their narration.
I hate courtroom dramas. I hate books where someone is falsely charged with a crime. They are just obvious time consumers and a lazy way to move the story along. This book had both. Fortunately, it also had a good story after these, then of course they had to throw it all in again. I made it through, tho. In the end it was worth the credit, but a bit of a disappointment.
I've read a number of Patterson books, but if this is an example of his newest and latest style, he should hang up his pen and try something else. He puts out a lot of work in a year lately, usually co-written by other authors. I wonder who Patterson is trying to please, the co-writers or his banker. Make no mistake, the narrators have done a fine job, but their material is very poorly done. I look forward to more of their work, but I will certainly think twice before I buy another Patterson book.
Brilliant book, James Patterson kept me guessing right to the end, I kept swapping around to who I thought did it and what the ending would be! I almost burnt the dinner because I wanted to listen to the end. I have to be honest I do fast forward the really gruesome bits but don't feel I miss out on the plot.
I used to read JP booked all time until Swimsuit which I found too gruesome it put me off reading any other of JP's books but now I have found the audio versions it is great you just ff any bits you don't want to listen to. Murder House exceeded my expectations.
What a brilliant book keeps you hooked and guessing from start to end. Would definitely recommend xxxx
First book I listened to and was an easy listen. Definitely recommend as the twists and turns had you thinking.
"Murder house "
great read, kept you on the edge, Loved the twist at the end expected one of the twist 's but not the other! The narrator was great though out too!
Yes I would, and I probably will one day. Excellent story, wonderful narration.
It is hard to point out just one.
I never listened to any of Jay Snyder and Therese Plummer performance before, but I would really love to in the future. My favorite is Jay Snyder now. I love him so much I will listen to books I have never heard of just because he is reading them to me. Therese Plummer - I really like her narration as well.
Oh yes! I finished it in two days.
"worth a listen"
very good story and well written. but the main character is very annoying and quite hammy.
I don't really read this genre I'm more into autobiographies or business books but recently I've listened to the J k Rowling detective novels which are awesome and always leave me wanting more. Therefore I trawl through what other readers read whilst they're waiting fit the next JK.That's how I come across this formulaic, unrealistic, often obvious rubbish. If I don't work out who done it early then by the time I find out I don't care.
These guys trot out 3 books a year and are revered as writers. They're not fit to loads JK's printer cartridges.
"Got me hooked from the beginning"
I always like James Patterson books and this is no different. From the beginning I was intrigued and following each of the characters. Twists in the plot were great and I was guessing until the end. Very well narrated, I like the male and female voices.
I love the book I couldn't put the book once I started reading I wonted to finish it
"Great story and amazing narration"
Loved this story, loved the plot twists, thought I had nailed the outcome, then changed my mind, then changed it back again, then changed my mind....repeat to fade. The narration was simply amazing.....the emotional investment in the narrative shone through....well done!
