Good start to a new series, but where was the action for Carter?

I love the Meredith Mitchell and Markby series, and gave this a try since Jessica Campbell was featured in one of the books.

This was an good start to a new series, and I would try the next few books to follow the development of Campbell and Carter. Jessica Campbell was full of actions in this book 1, but one did not see much of Ian Carter though.

As usual from the Mitchell and Markby series, Judith Boyd did a wonderful narration.
