James Patterson's scariest, sexiest stand-alone thriller since The Quickie.
Ben isn't like most people. Unable to control his racing thoughts, he's a man consumed by his obsessions: movies, motorcycles, presidential trivia - and Diana Hotchkiss, a beautiful woman Ben knows he can never have.
When Diana is found dead outside her apartment, Ben's infatuation drives him on a hunt to find out what happened to the love of his life.
Ben soon discovers that the woman he pined for was hiding a shocking double life. And now someone is out to stop Ben from uncovering the truth about Diana's illicit affairs.
In his most heart-pumping thriller yet, James Patterson plunges us into the depths of a mind tortured by paranoia and obsession, on an action-packed chase through a world of danger and deceit.

The main character whines and is not at all believable. The story takes too long to evolve
Not anymore the last several are just being published because of his name not the caliber of the writing
He doesn't sound like the character portrayed (at least in my opinion)
This book has a flow that is flippant and grates on the nerves; it becomes hard to listen to. I do not want to have to work at listening to a book which is what one must do with this writing.
I could not see this being made into a movie.
One of the worst books by Patterson I have read
I would say to stay away from this one not worth the money or the time
None of the characters were interesting
A different story
Written a good book. The adhd was annoying as hell.
The narrator did a good job but didn't have much to work with.
I threw my ipod across the room in frustration from listening to this book. If this would have been my first JP book, it would have been my last. Maybe Patterson should try writing his own books again instead of using others.
I would preview it first.
Lack of storyline.
It was an annoying performance.
I kept hoping!
Brilliant, inventive and funny
The character of Ben is this fun loving, interesting and very brilliant guy, that really does not realize that he is fun loving, interesting and very brilliant.
The narrations was okay, I did not care for the music and sound effects
My thoughts are keeping me thinking...
I enjoyed this book immensely. The story is will told (I did not need the sound effects) I travelled with Ben in and out of the present moment to the past, and had fun with his superficial thoughts and I GOT all the references, (made me feel smart) and the references I didn't get, he explained them... It was a fun ride/read.
Someone who is tripping on LSD.
The story is very hard to follow I guess the main character is crazy.
The narrator was ok
Anyone that is looking to replace a sleeping pill
The story itself seem to be good. But the main person kept going back to parts of old movies. OMG I wanted to to kill him just to end the one going bits from other movies
His tones were ok, but the whole thing just drag on. So it made his voice like nails on a blackboard
I have always love James patterson, I have read all this books with the exception of the science ones. I cannt wait for the next Private. I hate I wasted a credit on this book. I try to listen to most of it with the hope it would get better. THANK GOD I CAN RETURN IT. THANK GOD.
Why ever would I do that?
This narrator is IRRITATING, INCOMPETENT and INEPT.
The blame rests with you, Patterson. Listen to your chosen narrators. This loyal reader and listener is ticked.
Very poor main Character. Totally all over the place. The plot was poor and not even discernible from the rantings of the main character. I gave up after 3 chapters.
No. It was terrible!!
The person narrating the book was terrible. As soon as he started reading he put me on edge. No acting abity to bring out the characters, although the main character was so bad that the best actor in the world could not have salvaged it.
Never buy another James Patterson book base don this rubbish.
